hi Carly, you definitely have hooded eyes! It’s so complicated to learn but what helped me was TikTok’s of people with hooded eyes. It’s also helpful to start with a brown eyeshadow first and then when you’re feeling more confident, go with a liner !

I have similar eyes, and I've been using tape to do my eyeliner. I'll put a small piece of tape starting down past my bottom waterline and up to the end of my eyebrow. Then, use the tape to keep the eyeliner in a sharp strait line. Take of the tape and it looks so sharp. It tooke me a couple of tries and usually works. Depends on the day lol

Hooded eyes refer to the skin on the upper/middle eye lid folding over the lower lid, touching the lash line. I don't think you have hooded eyes, but it's hard to tell with your head back tilted back. The eyeliner stamp stencils look ridiculous but are helpful to see where the liner should properly sit. Also, practicing at the end of the day before washing your face before bed is a good time to practice. It's low stakes being it won't ruin your eye makeup for the day, and you're about to wash your face anyway.

I struggle so much with eyeliner!! I don't even want a wing just regular eyeliner! I can do it at my lash line right by my waterline but I can't figure out how to do it on the lid. Tutorials I find are always for winged and only cover the wing part and skip how to do the rest of the eyeliner. I keep trying!

I don't think you have hooded eyes, but when I perfected my cat eye it's just trial and error. I worked at a restaurant five days a week and I did eyeliner every single day for my job (even if it looked rough and took forever) until I got it down. Used to take me 30 minutes to do eyeliner now maybe 2 it's just about practice.

I can’t even do normal eyeliner lol I used to do a full face of makeup everyday and it looked so bad most of the time 😂 this even after I spent a lot of time learning how to do it better. Now I just do my skincare and eyeliner but I want to quit the eyeliner and just use mascara
