This album and its entire track list should be tearing up the charts. And it would've been too, if they had promoted it correctly. Setting aside the embarrassing fact that the first single was released in March and the album didn't follow until almost 5 months later, I Really Like You was such a blatant attempt to copy 'Call Me Maybe', people just brushed it off as a lame attempt to capture the magic of her first hit. The label should've trusted in the quality of the work and pushed 'Run Away With Me' as the lead single. Followed by 'All That' or 'Emotion' as buzz singles, and the album a month or two after. She also should've saved that Justin Bieber music video cameo for one of the better singles. Just to keep interest in the album and it's singles once the initial charm had worn off.

Troye is so not underrated... He literally got mentioned by Taylor Swift, and even people in Europe and Asia regions start to recognize him. He got to perform on the Tonight Show, which is huge for a relatively new artist. Carly, however, is still being recognized as the "Call Me Maybe" girl. Not even the Grammys nominated her, even when so many music critics gave Emotion very positive reviews.

I went to see her on Sunday at the Houston house of blues and she was AMAZING!!! I loved her show she has so much enthusiasm and she is just so perfect! Let's point out how lately she's only performing (TV - biggest exposure) these songs, or even Last Christmas. Now let's see, where is I Really Like You now? They've realized these are the songs that need exposure to change the 'Call Me Maybe girl' image most people have of her. Too late, though. Huge mistake by her management, picking the wrong song as lead single. Which in fact only contributed to the poor sales her album got. Unfair to Carly because Emotion is actually one of the best albums in years.
