Alhamdulillah satisfied user of 2.0D for thirty years. Sold it couple of months back. 😢 Rest assure it's built to run for 1000km and back the next day without showing any fatigue. Mostly it's oil and oil filter and tabit setting on regular interval. Diesel is more efficient engine then petrol in heavy duty work/under load in mountain roads.

I used to own this Model. Almost zero maintenance car. Under 2 lac milage gari koi kam nai nikalti. Lakin engine 2 lac ke bad blow ker jata hae.and engine overhaul kerna perta hae lazmi. Gari 170 taq aram se jati hae bht powerful engine hae yakenan iski bht achi average hae.

@@Amgguy786 Its a very decent car , if you looking to buy one in diesel make sure all engine and suspension work is done get it checked by a mechanic , try to get the abs version which started in late 2005 and comes in 2.0d saloon model.

For your information 20d saloon is equipped with air bags and also SE saloon, even 2003.. Air bag is not installed in xli,gli and normal 2od

Alhamdulillah Using 2.0D G 2001 model…toyota 2C engines are very very reliable, you just have to change timing belt at every 100,000kms. Its good practice to replace water pump, new thermostat, new coolant, valve adjustment while changing timing belt, and then set the timing of injection pump with dial guage, not desi local mechanics thukaaaa…if all this is done you are good for another 100,000kms… PS, never ever run a diesel engine with plain water, use coolant
