She remains the best gift of an interpreter any lyricist could ever hope for . Miss Carmen's unique ability to extract not only the songwriters original intent- but so much more- was without peer male or female vocalists. She sung the words of every song like she'd lived them- on the concert stage, she was as great an actress as any ever on the film screen. A most brilliant musician who - as per her wish- will always be remembered for those five decades of audio gems she left behind for present & future generations of serious music listeners to enjoy.
