Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, a film by Choir of the Earth

In February and March 2023, hundreds of global members of Choir of the Earth learned to sing the choral parts from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, in a series of digital rehearsals conducted by our marvellous Musical Director Ben England. Children worldwide were also invited to learn the 'Ragazzi' parts of the work, forming the Children's Choir of the Earth.
Our intrepid singers used world-class rehearsal tracks to practise and record their voices at home, created by professional choral singers from Fieri Consort, with piano and percussion arranged, played and recorded by the amazing Ana England. When they received the Choir's recordings, our terrific audio team, led by Chief Sound Engineer Conor Kearney, then mixed the singers' individual recordings to create an international choir.
This concert video premiere pairs the final performance with stunning visuals that enhance the storytelling of the music, selected by our talented Creative Director, Marc Siese.

I feel really overwhelmed with how wonderful this is to hear and view...what a finished product! Thank you so much Ben England, MarK Strachan, Marc Seise, Ana England, the Fieri Consort, Conor for the incredible sound engineering, everyone in the Forum and at rehearsals. All these soft high notes! So challenging! I can't believe we all did any little bit of this, soprano section!
