This video came right on time to confirm my decision to focus on ES futures. I've been studying charts/trading since June and thought I was going to focus on stocks til I found out about PDT rule (NEXT!) then Forex until I discovered that you can't trade CFD's or Gold in the US and I wasn't comfortable going with an unregulated offshore broker. Then I discovered futures and I swear, it checks off all of the boxes. It's like perfect on so many levels. I'm ready to get this money!!! Seriously though, I'm addicted to trading. I LOVE it.

Make sure you start with paper trading! Really get comfortable in the contract you're looking at, whether that's NQ, ES, or anything else Also, consider a prop firm, that's how us retail traders can get started, using a company's money to trade instead of our own But research them beforehand

Also instead of micros you can also do shares of Spy or TQQQ itself. Way less fees on TOS/Ameritrade than futures. It's roughly 800 shares of tqqq for 1 NQ, and 500 shares of Spy for 1 ES. If you need more size than just trade futures or options but for learning I find this to be a less stress way since you can do 100 or 200 shares at a time with pennies for fees instead of the 7ish fee on TOS which can add up quickly.

Same here, I keep trying to get more out of my options and basically freeze up and ignore my stop losses and have wiped out my account multiple times. Carmine nailed it. Work to become consistent with the smaller positions and then add more per trade.

*DISCLAIMER* Trading the same markets day in and day out SOUNDS appealing, but the likelihood you will find success is low. The S&P is incredibly efficient most of the time, unless you're trading on very specific days where the market has a clear reason to move (FOMC, Macro Events, etc.)

Good video but in my experience futures aren't appropriate for small account users because of the high fees. I.e. on TOS a round trip trade on 5 micro futures contracts costs around $30! 👀 They're better off starting with options in my opinion, then switch over to futures once they build up a decent bankroll and know what they're doing.

I do not recommend TOS for futures ! Use a broker like edgeclear, it’s almost a tenth of the margin requirement and commission fees! TOS is bad !

You can see tick stream and bid ask volume in the candle using Tradovate software or ninja 8 both can be used with your ninja account. You really don't need all of the extra bells and whisles you Learn say ES back and forth you'll see it has a pattern.

QUESTION IS--If trader was trading forex pair to hold for average duration of 3--5 days what time frame should be used for TREND DIRECTION?--IS IT 4 H CHART? Traders biggest enemy is trend flipping on A dime(e.g. 1H/lower times frame trend).Trend on 4H chart may be the best trend guide for majority of forex traders.. By the time trader confirms that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 5-7 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start.Trend based on the last 10--15,four H candles has enough big players/juice/force behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced asset to lose again. Your wisdom please?

Hi Carmine mate, I have a question completely theoretical. Let's say I had a futures account with $100,000. Let's also say I bought 200 contracts worth of ES at $12.50 per tick with a stop loss of 40 ticks. 200 x 12.50 x 40= 100000 Therefore I'd be risking my entire account in one trade i.e. going all in. Would the broker allow me to execute this trade or will it close before hitting my stop loss, etc? I've been struggling to find a justified answer so you'd do me a solid here. Thanks.
