When I’m close to target and I’m considering whether to hold or exit early, I pretend I am not in a trade and I ask myself if I would enter a trade at the current price for the same target. where would my stop be and what would the risk-reward ratio be? Very often the RR and estimated probability of winning this imaginary trade are low, so I exit the trade.
