Thank you Scotty for not painting the engine black just like everyone is doing of late. I personally prefer the metal look as it’s easier to see oil leaks and problems when everything isn’t all black. Love this Ute and can’t wait to see its performance on the track.👊👍💪👌🙏

I'm glad you got use out of my tank suggestion. I've been running the vy tank in my vs for a while now with no issues. For the guys using stock vs cluster, the fuel level sender the vu and vy1 the fuel gauge will read backwards in a vs, vy2 pump or fuel level sender reads correct. Everyone selling top dollar rusty vg-vs tanks will now just take them to the scrap.

Good shout legend 👍 Do you know what options I have for a VR sedan? I’ve almost overpaid for crummy droptanks too many times lol I’ve learned some sellers mention “used” which apparently negates whether something is also “useable”. Explains why it’s being sold in the first place I suppose 🤣

Saw a video where a mechanic says don't pack rear bearings with grease because they are lubed from the diff oil and the grease prevents the oil from lubricating the bearing properly. Heard that before?
@STREETMACHINETV

@@MrTonaluv it would depend on diff design
@DodgyBrothersEngineering
@DodgyBrothersEngineering 4 ай бұрын
@@MrTonaluv possible, but would be a very rare situation (in a car), certainly not the norm. Most rear axles have seals on them between the bearing and the diff oil to stop any kind of washing / mixing. The full floaters Scotty just fit, the diff oil comes no where near the bearings.

Crank angle sensors seem to be the Achilles heel of the LS. Many people have given up on the factory location and put a reluctor wheel on the front of the damper to do two things. One not have to crawl under the vehicle and battle with hot headers and a starter to swap it out when it fails. Two reduced signal noise than occurs at high rpm and causes misfiring issues.

Gen 3's had DBW from 03-06. The easiest way to tell if you have a Gen 4 is the cam sensor like you said or peek under the intake and look for the AFM valley cover.

Hey Scotty, just watched the video and I noticed when you fitted the left wheel hub assembly the lock nut went on the wrong way around and it got torqued up. Probably just check and swap it around. The tapered side faces the lock washer. Good job though.

Are you the new leader of the Australian based Marvel Avenger super heroes. Cause, all l heard after you said the centre was being ready assembly. I heard in my empty breakfast bowl of a head. It was SCOTTIE ASSEMBLE !!! That would make a good t shirt for the Ute build, willing to design it for nothing. And you can use the design and sell them, and if they're liked . We could release a print, and function the OG drawing for your lad.
