Re the capped connector on the 'new' 4L60E: High trims like S Pack/SS and Berlina have a little PRND321 indicator on the dash - that connector is what tells the PCM (and therefore the dash) what gear is selected. Lower trims like Executive don't have the indicator on the dash or the plug on the loom, so the connector is capped off on the transmission.

@STREETMACHINETV4 жыл бұрын
Well kind of. The basics of the L67 date back to the late 80s in the US, we didn't see them until the VS Commodore. While the AU intech was the forerunner of the Barra. All that aside I think this will be interesting. It doesn't make much power now but we'll get it there.
@robertshepherd9954 жыл бұрын
Is there much difference in the bottom end of the Barra compared to the original 4.0 that came out in the EB?
@FelixTheHat3024 жыл бұрын
@@robertshepherd995 Not really, or the EA 3.9, or X-flow, or every bottom end back to the XK. Stronger materials and better designed rotating assembly of course.
@tmmtmm4 жыл бұрын
only making another 20kW or so from the supercharger is pretty embarrassing but remember that these were designed for a fairly unsophisticated FWD platform in the USA so more power probably couldn't be utilized.
