Yeah Pearl killed what little appeal Pam had left by just being a better version of her as a damage dealer. And sure, Pam's classified as a support, but her support mechanics aren't that great, especially now that damage inflation has absolutely ravaged the game for a while with no sign of slowing down. Not to mention, her health turret gets shut down immediately if the enemy decides to have a thrower on their team. To put it briefly, Pam's basically been power-creeped in a way that makes her very unappealing to play when compared to the alternatives that can fill a similar niche.

Fun fact: if you combine Maisie’s first Star Power, damage gear AND hypercharge damage boost together, you can deal around 5.5K damage per ammo. That’s enough to two-shot almost everything. Not including additional damage boosts from teammates.

Whether I prefer the star power featured in the video over the other one: Pinpoint Precision: The slowness is better by a mile. If the area was larger maybe I would use it Mama's Squeeze: tbh I haven't touched pam in so long I'm not even sure. Pretty sure I use the other one though Unnatural order: I feel like people are stuck in the time that eve was good. Even when eve was being used for her ammo wasting capabilities, I was using this star power. Its more valuable then a hatchling that does barely any damage. Studied the blade: I don't think this is a bad star power, its just shield that negates 1 shot practically thats so much better. The star power encourages a more chip based playstyle which is nice. When you go against kenjis in ladder though. You need shield Fast food: NO. Stencil glue: Usually you get the value you need out of the default super anyways so I run the other Stage view: sure maybe in showdown but why would you ever use this in 3v3? I use the other. Field Promotion: You aren't getting value in 3v3 ever and showdown good luck. The map destruction is so much better Slimy: Would you rather damage a brawler more or do whatever this thing does? I will take the damage Remote Recharge: Who actually thought this was a good idea? If you can't pick up your fist to begin with, you have already lost. This star power does nothing to save that fact

I love Stage View(Janet’s bush star power) a lot in snake prairie where you can also use the gadget Drop the Bass to reveal an area around you. She becomes a very underrated pick for revealing enemies.😊

A good buff to Remote Recharge would be to just make it so you are constantly charging super while your gloves are off. That would make it so you get value from it in way more situations and it would (maybe) compete with the healing

I would say that Stage View is just extremely situational unlike her other star power, at least in a 3v3. People usually just doesnt stay on bushes, and many comps may not benefit from the information it gives, even Janet herself

Imo Studied the Blade is literally a nerf to kenji because it actually restricts where he can super by a pretty large amount. It’s such a baffling Star power. If it made the slashes wider instead of longer then it would actually be very usable.

As a Janet main, I do sometimes use the first star power. It's pretty good on maps with more walls and bushes. In those maps, you don't need the full long range attack as much so the first star power is actually pretty useful for the whole team to see who is hiding on the map and catch any sneaky people. Maybe if the star power also detects invisible brawlers it would be more widely considered.
