This year we had the pleasure of seeing this new John Deere S770i at work during the rice harvest of the "La Fagiana" farm 🌾
The "La Fagiana" farm, located near Eraclea (VE), specializes in the cultivation and marketing of superfine Carnaroli rice. They started producing rice after the war, and for years they piled it by hand with a very small production for family use. Today the partial mechanization of the cultivation and of the husking has allowed the increase of production, which nevertheless retains the characteristics of an artisanal product.
Speaking instead of the combine harvester, the company purchased the John Deere S770i this year, equipped with front track, with 725D carpet bar.
The John Deere S770i is equipped with a PowerTech PSS 9 l engine, maximum power 335kW / 455 hp, and features a single rotor. Furthermore, the integrated interactive control system of the combine (ICA2) keeps productivity constant even when harvesting conditions vary. With no manual adjustments required, the operator is confident that the combine is always working at peak efficiency. The new tracks allow to continue harvesting even in difficult conditions and muddy terrain thanks to the new exclusive design. The 30% wider footprint reduces soil compaction and the new suspension system ensures 20% more comfort and a smoother ride.
The 725D head is equipped with an active material movement system with belt but without auger. This reduces weight and ground pressure. The belt does not mix the crop as it does with the auger and carries the material to the feederhouse with the top forward.
