Carnatic Antakshari - Bharat Sangeet Utsav 2020

Carnatica Global and Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha present Apollo Hospitals Bharat Sangeet Utsav 2020 - Online Edition presents Bharat Sangeet. Anthakshari - for the first time presented by multi faceted media personality Ms Subashree Thanikachalam. Team1: Vid Vasudha Ravi, Vid Savita Sreeram(vocals), Vid Padma Shankar - violin/vocal, Team2: Vid Vidya Kalyanaraman, Vid Saindhavi G V Prakash, Vid Suchitra Balasubramanian (vocals), Vid Raghavan Sai(Mridangam)
Anthakshari is usually a time pass / family game involving family and friends. However, this is a unique concept involving established artists adding another novelty in our events. This is a very innovative performance brought together by artists from different styles who have taken part in this event and made this concept unique. Their impromptu performances has made the event more colorful. All the participating artists are well accomplished individual musicians who have made it interesting and pleasurable for the rasikas.

Marvelous program.Beautiful concept and superb execution. It was like watching 20-20 cricket! Fast paced, minute by minute thrills and googlies galore. This is the surest way to attract the young generation to our evergreen heritage of carnatic music amidst the cacophony of what goes as modern music. The most pleasurable aspect was the involvement of the six singers and Mridangist. They were delightful , their knowledge admirable ,enthusiasm infectious and bonhomie displayed amongst them commendable. While congratulating Madam Subashree heartily on her brilliant show, I only have a small appeal to her. Please give your subjects a little more respect. Certainly their knowledge is equal , if not more than you. Addressing them in " orumai "( 'Nee Paadu ') instead of Panmai ( " Padunga " )is totally inappropriate . And this is not my first time observation about her.I still recall with shock the offensive word she used to describe a member of the opposite team in a 'Patti Mandram 'on carnatic music conducted by respected Solomon Pappaiah Ayya.Please Madam, a little humility plus generosity to your subjects will be great value additions to your versatality.
