I felt like it was DEFINITELY time for a happy sprinkle soap! In this video, I show you how I made my "Carnival Candy" cold process soap, topped with sparkly ball embeds and a beautiful sprinkle combination that I recently purchased and showed in my latest haul video.

When you are getting ready to go out to buy food but you tell your husband that the shopping trip is delayed because Sarah Milroy just uploaded a video. The eye-roll was spectacular. =) Yes, please. I do many things too. Polymer clay, Soaps, lampworking, beading, crochet, Paper making, bookbinding, scrapbooking, mold making.....sigh so little time.

It's one of my favorite things to do and I make an ornament for each of my kids every year. Haven't tried paper making, but I've looked it up and would love to learn. Aww, thank you so much, Cheryl! Beekeeping is EXTREMELY rewarding. Bees are super interesting and it feels like no matter how much I read up on them, there's always something new to learn! We've got jars of honey stacked away and we're picking up 12 pounds of bees at the beginning of April. The kids love to run around the farm and find the bees while they're foraging. l also love working with glass, as well as soaping. l am a Hobby Collector, also. What an excellent way of putting it. l have advanced Cake Decoratoring, lampwork, stained glass, hot glass under my belt, as well as large gourd design and decorating, Interior Design, gardening, painting and the list goes on. So l know that l would say a second channel would be great. So many hobbies out there and it sounds like you have quite a few. Perhaps a picture of one item at the end of your soap video to say, "Take a look", might be nice. l for one will be so excited to watch. This soap turned out awesome. I think 2 channels would be alot of work ..shoot one channel is..with the editing and all that.and if ppl didn't want to watch other stuff that u would upload on ur soap channel then they don't have to watch.. they have that option. Hi Sarah... I think a second channel would be great as it sounds like you and I have some of the same hobbies. My latest obsession is rug hooking (it's not latch hook or needlepoint). If you haven't heard of it, check it out! You use moncks cloth or linen with wool strips and a needle hook. I love it!😀 I love this soap too and the sprinkles...oh how I love those sprinkles. I had to order some, thanks for the inspiration!

Ooo! I haven't heard of that! I'll definitely have to check it out! My newest hobby is cross-stitching. I made a cross stitch for my office wall, but it's a bit out there and I kept it just for me. Lol! Now, I'm a bit hooked on it and have been collecting DMC floss like it's going out of style. Would love to see some of your rug hooking projects! ❤️

Sarah Milroy So funny because I've been working on a cross stitch project too! I have several projects going at once. I will post some pictures of my rug hooking on my Instagram soon. My mom just bought me a frame to hold the linen cloth. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Definitely, look it up!

That raspberry red color, ohmygoodness, it had me drooling, it was so juicy-looking! It was just a combination of Nurture Soap's "Really Red" and a wee bit of titanium dioxide in the lye solution. (And, as far as goat yoga, I'd LOVE to do goat yoga in my lifetime! My goats are a bit large... I've got Nubians, but I saw one video with goat yoga that just looked like such a HAPPY thing to do!) ❤️

I have used store sprinkles on my cupcake soap & over time the sprinkle colors bleed onto the cupcakes, do you think this sprinkle will bleed over time? Thanks.

I've never had a problem with my sprinkles bleeding, but I soap with low temperatures (so they don't melt), use a water discount, and I like to sprinkle over piping so it doesn't heat up too much. I haven't seen any bleeding yet, but of course, testing is key! We'll see with this batch, but it's looking great so far! 🙌

Your soap is so beautiful. It looks good enough to eat. Have you ever had trouble with your sprinkles bleeding color onto the white frosting? I have soaped with sprinkles and had some trouble with them Any tips on how to solve this problem?

Thank you so much, Connor! I've only ever had the problem with sprinkles bleeding (and/or melting) when the soap batter got too hot or if it (the batter) was too runny. With this batch, I soaped using a water discount and waited for the batter to thicken up a bit before piping. The piped dollops help keep the temperature down as well. 💖

Hi Sarah, Our property which is average size has a lot of fruit trees, its sort of a compact edible landscape, with berries, vegetables, herbs and over 20 fruit trees. I use our produce to make jams, salsa :), pasta sauce, relish - tomato and courgette normally. I make chow chow pickle, and i have this large old fashioned preserver pot thingy with an element underneath. With this I can just add the fruit raw into jars, pour over a syrup and then process in the gadget filled with water for how ever long the book says. I normally do pears, apples and plums. It makes fast work of bottling fruit. Using a different method - 'overflow' I preserve beetroot in a sweet vinegar mixture. That's about it. I love the sound of your Watermelon Jelly ! :)

I'm so glad you like it! Was definitely going for something a bit more "edible-looking" because the sprinkles were just so... SPRINKLE-Y and delicious-looking! Lol! I've been giving it a lot of thought over the past few weeks and I'm definitely leaning towards the "separate channel" choice for my other hobbies. Didn't want to muddy the water with too much randomness on my soap channel, but having a separate channel would allow me to post a lot of the farm/craft randomness that happens around here. 😀 Thanks for watching! ❤️

Love your soaps. Yes I think you should create another channel for your random hobbies etc. would love to see them. How do you get the sprinkles to not bleed and turn to mush? Last time I used sugar sprinkles it melted away.

Thank you, Natalie! I'm definitely going to be looking into starting another channel in addition to this one. I'll keep everyone posted once I've got it up and running. May be a few weeks or a month or so. Got a lot of soap-y videos planned that I'd like to film first. And I'm so glad you like the way this batch turned out! Sprinkles can be tricky little things... but the best way to keep them looking great is to make sure that your soap batter doesn't overheat. Putting them on top of piping helps because it stays a bit cooler than the rest of the soap. If the soap heats up too much, the sprinkles melt and turn into sad sugar mush. Keep a close eye on your temps, soap low, and try to sprinkle on piping. Thanks for watching! 😀
