I was just on the Horizon this past July out of New York City. The Horizon Is one of my favorite ships. I really miss the full atrium and glass elevators. Great video.

We stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites at 2520 Stirling Road... it was more of an exterior-entry motel-type setup, but with the breakfast and the free airport shuttle (the port shuttle was extra), we'd do it again for sure!! :D

Man we got a spa balcony for the first time on the breeze back in September when y’all brought it to us from Galveston. Let me tell ya idk if I will ever be able to go without the thermal suites access again. The aroma therapy room and then relaxation room with em on water. Man. It’s so amazing!!!

That's awesome! After touring the Horizon spa, we were hoping they had some sort of day pass option, but that didn't seem to be the case. You had to buy the entire voyage or nothing, so we passed. That stuff looked awesome though!!

On the breeze you could purchase a day pass for like 20pp. But may be different on each ship😏

Oh wow, someone else just commented yesterday on one of our videos that they tried to get a day pass on the Breeze and were told they don't offer them for just one day. They sailed her on the 14-day November Journeys cruise. Interesting!!

We normally get to the pier around 10:30am-11:00am, and are usually onboard within about half an hour. Sometimes you wait inside the terminal in a designated area if the previous debarkation is running behind, but not usually.

Next time you are in Miami stay at the Double Tree Biscayne Bay. We get a balcony room over-looking the maria and you can see all the cruise ships come in and out of dock. What does a drink package on Carnival cost?

Oh nice! We stayed in FLL because it was cheaper to fly into there, ha ha... That sounds awesome though! Carnival's drink package is $56/day onboard (or $51/day in advance) per person, and all adults in the cabin have to purchase it. So for two people, you're looking at $102/day if you purchase online in advance. It only makes mathematical sense if you get 6+ drinks per day, every day, so we've never been tempted to get it much...

We buy it, since beer is $9 and mixed drinks are about $12 each. It also includes soda and speciality coffee. We feel it’s a great deal for all it includes! Don’t have to worry or pay attention! Haha!

Thankee! Yep, the Vista, Horizon, and Panorama are basically identical, other than I'd heard they're removing the IMAX theater from the Panorama and putting a trampoline park in its place. Interesting!!

Thankee! We've done balcony cabins on occasion, but we love to cruise more frequently, so we usually lean toward the basic interior cabins. We can normally cruise twice as much by choosing interior over balcony, hah... some of our friends refer to the interiors as "vlogger cabins" ha ha... funny... :P

Thankee! Yes, ever since we switched to the Canon and started recording in 60 fps, we can tell a huge difference in quality over the old vlogs, even though our camera won't go above 1080p. Love it!! :D

He's one of the Carnival photographers, yep. I guess he worked his way up through the ranks and his photography skills stood out, so he's sort of the main man when it comes to Carnival photos. He travels all over the world on ships and off ships, and provides much of the promotional photography for the company, and even has galleries selling prints of his photos on a few of the ships, the Horizon being one of those.

That's awesome! Yes, both JiJi's and Cucina are open for lunch and no cost, I believe every day. We loved that as an option! I believe they're normally open sometime in the 11:00-hour... it'll be listed in your Fun Times or Hub app under the food section though, for sure. Hope you have a great cruise!! :D

What did u think of a deck 1 cabin? There will be 3 of us in a cabin so that is our only option. Is it loud? I would think it would be loud coming into port when they drop the lines and stuff. Thinking of booking it today but nervous it might be loud.

We tend to stay Deck 1 mid. Too far forward and you probably would get all the noise. But low and mid gets the lease movement. Plus we like being able to hop back on after a day in port, skip the long lines at the elevators, hit one flight of stairs, and be at our cabin!! :P

The cakes at the coffee shop aren't free, sadly. There are some nice offerings at the tea time that are free, and we did a couple of those over the course of this trip. We love the cakes in there!! :D

We’ve sailed Carnival before and our stateroom was on deck 6 and we enjoyed the location. We noticed you were on deck 1. Is there a certain deck that you feel has the most advantages?

We normally just stay low for the inexpensive rate, and we've never minded being on Deck 1. The only class of Carnival ships that we vary from that sometimes is the Fantasy-class where the lobby is on Deck 7. On those, we usually like to stay on or close to that deck, just for convenience of embark/debark.

How does the ship do a turn over that fast ?

Normally everyone has to vacate the cabins by 8:30am or so, even though you can stay on the ship until closer to 10:00am. Any diamond, platinum, and I think faster to the fun, they have to do those cabins first, and then they have until 1:30pm to get the rest of them ready. But yeah, turning over that many cabins in 5 hours... sounds like a daunting task to me!!

Yes indeed, the Horizon is the brand-newest of the brand-new for Carnival. The middle child of their largest Vista-class, with the baby sister Panorama coming to the west coast in late 2019. These ships hold about 4,000 passengers, and then in 2020 Carnival is making the jump to a 6,000-ish passenger ship... which will be called the "Mardi Gras" named after their first ever ship in 1972... yow!!

The food was offer on the Breeze. Guy need to do better on his pig and anchor. Chicken was half cook, they gave people the ladt end of the pork which was just fat. Just offer.

Weird... I've never really had any issues with their meat, but I've run across some overcooked macaroni more than once, ha ha... I did get a really fatty piece of pork on my Cuban sandwich at the deli one time on another ship. But overall, I've enjoyed the bbq, but it's not my favorite... Dee never got too into it, and I don't really go out of my way to get it... :P
