This was from nearly 50 years before I first landed in Malta and got to know some of its life-loving great people. It is not my country, though I have been there often and love it. It would be so much better if Britain had had better governments in the 1950's and 60's, who would have welcomed Malta's offer to become an integral overseas territory of the UK. And if Britain had never been stupid and cowardly enough to join the toxic EU. Malta as an equal part of Britain, uncorrupted by the rotten EU and its Mafia masters, would both have been better off by far. Carnival in Malta is still a great experience. But it seems to have been even better in 1928. In a free-er and clearer time, when we all knew who we we were and what we stood for. God bless Malta!

The people of Malta have benefited greatly by being in the EU.Would they have benefited as much by being under the UK.Doubt it very much as the Uk would have dragged Malta out of the EU aswell...look at the state of the UK now.
