Oh nooo, another contact with a pier! And what is going on with fisticuffs? As a nurse i came in handy with 2 emergencies in my over 50 years of sailing. One I actually had to take control on a tender and one I was a support to the doctor through my observations. Retired now but i loved my career. Thx Doug for all the news🙂🚢

Mornin' Doug! That was a pretty serious beat-down going on. The penalties should be proportionate. IMHO, a lifetime ban falls short of being an appropriate punishment. Confinement on the ship and substantial are fines are closer and, if there are more than minimal injuries, charges should be the norm.

Morning Doug. There needs to be stronger consequences for fighting. Kicked off at next port. Forced to stay in cabin until kicked off, fine and cruise wide band. Fighting puts all parties in danger. The North River currents are not to be taken lightly. If you ever watched the Staten Island ferry each crossing it’s a different docking challenge. I remember going up the East River against the tide and we were going 5 knots on a 10 not vessel. Then with the tide we were doing 21 knots. How we use to figure when we would dock in Rhode Island was if we were slack tide on the North River and with the tide in the East River we could save a few hours!
