The layout of the Carnival Spirit is a little different than most Carnival ships, and just has the one MDR (the two-level Empire Restaurant). There is a trade off with smaller ships, but some of our favorite cruises were on smaller cruise ships. Have an amazing cruise, and thanks for watching!

Hi guys! My first choice is actually going to Blue Iguana Cantina for a Taco Salad! Guy's is just too busy on embarkation day! We will be on the Spirit in September to Alaska and we already have the Steakhouse reserved for embarkation night! So excited for this trip and it will be our second time to Alaska.

We were going to book for Nov this week but seriously looking other than Carnival. People say you cannnot get Room Service to answer so most just do without breakfast on excursion days. And the brunch on at sea days is cancelled. No more birthday cakes at dinner. It is my birthday in Nov after just having cancer a second time. I wanted cake and singing. I wanted a special time as at 73 I may not travel again. I am so sad about all this. It will be hard to change up as we have dates picked and airfare lined up but no cruise booking yet. Carnival is no more. Forget they exist. Fighting fruitcakes also not to be forgotten.

@@glendagrant9042 we understand your frustration with the changes. We had not heard about the lack of responsiveness when passengers call for room service. Carnival has said that Sea Day Brunch has been shortened by an hour. We hope you find a cruise to celebrate your birthday on in November. There are other great cruise lines to choose from. Just got back from Spirit cruise. Overall, food was mediocre. Desserts from buffet a bit subpar. The chocolate desserts were lacking in flavor. Key lime pie pretty good. The ice cream was more like ice milk. The Pizza Pirate was subpar. Good crust. Didn't care for tomato sauce. Guys was good, but not as good as our cruise from 3 years ago. Not sure why. The deli...buffalo chicken thick with breading and not much chicken. Hot dog was poor. Hot chocolate was good Overall, food was not high quality. Was like Golden Corral. On a scale of 1-10...most items a 5 or 6, a few 4,a few 7.
