Thanks for your views/opinions. We’re heading on the Venezia to Canada in September and I’m excited! I wanted to go to Canada since I’ve only done the Caribbean for 16 cruises. I wanted to always leave out of NY and lastly I wanted to check out a new kind of ship. Carnival is starting to annoy me with all their nickel and dimming, but I’m glad dinner was good as that’s not been so great on my last few. I watched all your videos of this series, I’m just not a commenter as I watch on my TV but have to go to my phone to comment. Thanks for doing a great job!

I've been on Venezia 3 times(including the inaugural sailing). The staff has always been great. I loved the food and I just love cruising and getting away for a while. Cruising on Venezia 4 times this year including an upcoming back to back

Was the Asian buffet an additional cost? I’ve read that on sea days, the Seafood shack serves Asian, but no one says whether there is a fee. Will be on the ship the end of the month.

I understand the nickel and diming part, but in retrospect...have you gone to a theatre recently and bought popcorn? I'm happy with $4 price point if I do want some popcorn lol! It could be a lot worse.

I got it on Amazon a few years back. They had multiple sizes if I recall correctly. This one is quite large.

I stayed at the Hudson River Hotel. It’s not the fanciest ever, but it was fine for the night, and it’s very close to Pier 88 where the ship is located.

No irons or ironing boards because of fire concerns. I just bring a dewrinkle spray, and that seems to work for most things. Just make sure you hang up evening clothes as soon as your luggage is delivered. They also have laundry service on board. Some of my friends submit their fancy clothes on day one to have it ready for elegant night.

I disagree. Oasis of the Seas was crowded on sea days. You couldn’t move!

The ship looks nice but the food is awful in the main dining room and the buffet. If your room is on deck 2, you can forget about getting any sleep. The galley is on deck 3, and there is 24/7 banging very loud. Don't bother playing bingo because the winner is predetermined. I guess there too lazy to use a regular ball dispense machine. My first sailing on Carnival and my last. Ship is clogged with people on scooters.

Oh wow! Sounds awful. My experience wasn’t nearly that bad, and my friends and I got quite a few casino comps/perks. Every sailing is different, I guess. I’m sorry Carnival let you down. Happy sailing.

Ok full disclosure I am a New Yorker and I love my city but I will never ever cruise out of the New York Port again. I love Carnival I take a cruise every year this was the first time I was able to agree with the Walmart of the sea title. The class of people on this cruise is just awful and I spoke to so many staff members that stated they hated it.

I’ve heard that from others also, both about Carnival in Manhattan and MSC in Brooklyn. That’s not been my experience, but it does seem to be a concern/issue for people.
