I had an AWESOME cruise on the Vista earlier this year. As always they could use a few more elevators but that is my only complaint. It was amazing! The entertainment was entertaining, the amenities were amenities, and the staff was wonderful. Be good to them and tip generously because they are the ones who make cruising such a luxurious experience. 9.9 out of 10! ❤

Just got off of the Vista on Saturday. Pleasurable trip but Casino was very tight. Buffet selection this cruise was not to my preference. Didn't go to any shows but just relaxed and went as we pleased. Mask are required in most places if not eating but have to have them on upon entry to dining areas. Was required to have proof of a negative Covid test done within 72 hours of boarding. They had just started requiring this recently. The other major change which was not informed about before cruise and affected a family member greatly was No Smoking in the casinos. Only permitted The Lanai, Deck 5 Starboard Side & Deck 11 Forward and Aft Starboard Side. Mask required during embark and debarkation on board and in terminal. Masks must be worn to enter an elevator. If you are a frequent cruiser and are one of the higher level persons such a platinum, the gifts that are usually left in your room each day such as cookies or chocolate covered strawberries, you must call room service for these to be delivered each day. Also, if you required distilled water to C-Pap.

I've been looking for the best ship to take my wife on for our first cruise and from Princess, RC and Carnival, this ship looks very bland, outdated and unrefreshed. I know this video was taken a year ago, but do you think they would have updated any interiors since then?

Hey Ryan, thanks for watching. We were just on Vista again in August, and I would not personally refer to it as bland, but this is pretty much what she looks like. The other Vista class ships, Horizon and Panorama are very similar. If you are looking for the most up to date modern Carnival ships, Mardi Gras and Celebration are my favs. RCL's Oasis class ships are also amazing. Thanks for watching.

Wow! I'm so glad that we did NOT sail on the Vista before we were on the Horizon... Virtually nothing differentiates the two ships.. (Other than ditching the awful art gallery, adding Teppanyaki and extending Guy's Pig and Anchor into the Red Frog area on Deck 5).. at least the Horizon is two years newer... I really liked the Horizon, but I think I won't be sailing on the older and smaller Carnival ships unless it's a last minute giveaway deal that we can hop in the car and drive to... Big fan of the Mardi Gras when we sailed her and have already booked a suite on the Celebration! Pizzeria del Capitano Margherita tastes just like the pizza I ate in Milano... Hoping ChiBang and Big Chicken are propagated on the rest of the fleet! Did the Vista have those unusual elevators??

So you hit the nail on the head! Vista has Park West and Red Frog instead of Pig & Anchor... and no, Vista has normal elevators. Orizon and Panorama have the special kind. Panorama is the same as Horizon except they added Carnibal Kitchen, replaced Skytop with Heroes Tribute bar, and Skyline Trampoline Park replaces the Multiplex. I do think Big Chicken will spread out... not sure about ChiBang....

Changing the signage from Jiji's is a no brainer.. but I think they might need a second cooking line for the Mexican side... Maybe Big Chicken could start in a station in the Lido Marketplace..

Hoping to book my first ever cruise in the near future, end of this year. If everything goes to plan I'll be booking on this cruise ship for 7 days. Not a fan that it cost same price for 1 person for a room as it does for two. Technically half for two but still same price over all for the room. Basically second person booked free essentially but if you going solo you double paying what you would by booking with someone else

Yes, Vista and Horizon are almost identical. Vista has a Red Frog Pub where the Pig & Anchor is on Horizon, otherwise they are the same.

Hey Kimberly, there are a lot of add one available on cruises, if you wish (not necessary). You could do some more research, or the best way in my opinion, especially for new cruisers is to use a Travel Advisor to book. Do you happen to know if the Havana Pool Area is open to everyone? I have a cruise scheduled for August 7th on the Vista and I purposely picked the Havana Cabana rooms as I was under the impression that only people with Havana rooms could use the Havana pool area?

Hey, thanks for watching Michelle! The Havana pool area is reserved exclusively for Havana room guests during the day, and you will be able to have a wonderful time out there without a lot of crowding. In the evening, the area is open up to everyone!
