"Caro 1 Motorglider" - Sonja Englert

Sonja Englert gave a presentation at the 2018 ESA Workshop in Tehachapi, CA, about the design, construction and testing of her motorglider. Caro 1 is an all-composite tandem-seater which was built by her in her garage. In order to realize its unique shape and keep it light-weight, simple, inexpensive molds were made for the airframe. It is powered by a 4-stroke engine and has flown about 200 h including two trips to Oshkosh at this time.
