Sir i have the VW T - Cross comfortline DSG 7 speed Automatic gearbox in South Africa it is so smooth the gears find the higher gear changes to seven speed which saves fuel i recomend the DSG direct shift double built in clutch beautiful car when it was launched into South Africa in 2019 value for money in the small SUV segment compared to other brands like Ford ECO SPORT etc

Well done Volkswagen, Anxiously waiting for T Cross to launch in India.
@joe80ss5 жыл бұрын
One major issue that everyone seems to miss including VW conveniently, is that the T cross only has 40 litre fuel tank capacity. That's a smaller tank than some smaller cars. Meaning filling up more often and less range of miles. It's a major flaw and vw doesn't even mention it on its brochure.

This car's going to sell well every review is scoring it very highly it's quite well priced too please don't compare it to a Citroen E Cross the Vw is different class in terms of build quality and refinement look inside a E Cross you'll see what i mean.

Great review. How t-cross compares to face lifted Vitara when it comes to ride comfort and noise insulation? Which one would you chose for cheap everyday commute?
@CarObsession5 жыл бұрын
Hello Georgi, thanks for watching. That's a good question, and to be honest, I would need to drive them back-to-back. Both are good cars, and choosing one is tricky. The T-Cross is classier, and more stylish, but I find the Vitara a bit more fun and characterful.

Very nice review, Volkswagen always shock me with their interior size and Volume they really design practical stuff, you are a tall man and look at you in the rear seats, you actually fit in this tiny crossover, I am also impressed with the amount of boot space the T-cross has, way better than C-HR and other tiny crossovers.

Thanks Aaron! Have you ever driven the Ssangyong Tivoli (which I know needs a better petrol engine)? I know that you have comprehensively driven the Vitara (both pre and post-facelift and on and off-road), as well as lots of other competitors such as the Arona and Kia Stonic, of course. The T-Cross is interesting given the fact that the base model is actually cheaper than the equivalent Arona (albeit with some differences in specification)... I think if you go over £20,000 with either, it is a bit much to pay for a car like this, as it encroaches on the Ateca and T-Roc. Superb engines in all four of them, of course!
@CarObsession5 жыл бұрын
No I haven't, the Tivoli is a car that piqued my interest at one time as you see very little of them on the roads. Well, at least from my experience, anyway. I did contact SsangYong, and they were not in a position to give me cars. Thanks for watching!

@@CarObsession, yes, they have a very small dealer network, so I am not surprised you don't see too many of them! The nearest dealer to Epsom/Sutton is in Virginia Water, which isn't exactly close.... There is one in Worthing, though, I gather. I have driven two Tivolis, both 2WD 1.6 ELX diesel manuals, one a 2016 model year and one a 2017 model year (there are equipment differences). I absolutely loved both, especially the 2017 model year car which had standard lane keeping assistance and a beige leather interior with dandy blue metallic paint... Shame they weren't able to lend you one, it is certainly a car I would like to do a proper review on, especially as they have a standard seven year 150,000 mile warranty!

You do realise that Seat is a subsidiary of VW?
@CarObsession5 жыл бұрын
I certainly do, which is why I made the comment about the DSG later on in the video. Brands such as Audi, Lamborghini, Skoda, Audi, Bentley, and Porsche are also part of VAG.
@CarObsession5 жыл бұрын
The SEAT Arona is built on the same platform as the T-Cross, and that platform (the MQB A0, if you want to get nerdy) was first introduced for the Ibiza.
@SSW25035 жыл бұрын
Car Obsession Which is precisely my point, apologies I did not expand on it. Both brands are owned by the same company, the cars are almost identical if you take away the body panels and interior (and perhaps a few software tweaks). Hence, it is a bit odd to claim that Arona should be worried - it is not competing against the T-Cross, but rather alongside it. VAG makes a profit regardless of which you buy. If anything, they capture an even greater share of the market by giving customers more choice at a very low additional cost, since the same platform, engines, transmissions etc. can be used for both.
@CarObsession5 жыл бұрын
@@SSW2503 Yeah I can see where you coming from, but they are still separate brands to a degree, so there is still some form of competition to be had in the new car market. Try not to take the title too literally, though, as it's more of a device to set the scene for the video and to encourage people to watch it (but not in a clickbaity way - I can't stand that).
@Sto79Be2 жыл бұрын
@@SSW2503 I don’t think you understand how businesses work. Seat is absolutely competing with VW and Skoda for sales. They might be owned by the same umbrella organisation, but they are subsidiary companies in their own right with their own balance sheets.
