I have never seen Carol Burnett 'upstaged' in all my years. You always wind up watching to see if she has some little comic bit she has added and she has that fine classic broadway voice and vibrato. But Channing has such an enormous and eccentric presence. That voice is so distinctive and that hair and those eyes... Its impossible not to stare, impossible not to listen... Like her or loath her, its no mystery that she filled all those Broadway theaters with her unique energy for 5 decades.

What do you mean "they get worse"?? they were both wonderful multi-talented performers AND singers and until you get up on stage and do what they did I don't think you have the right to criticize them like that!

They are delightful and they know how to sell a song and demonstrate what true showmanship is

The comment at the beginning is a strange one considering these two ladies both had outstanding Broadway, film and tv careers. Now the person who arranged this horrendous medley on the other hand....

The disparaging text messages at the very beginning and very end of this video clip are uncalled for. The medley that these two ladies are called upon to sing is not the cleverest thing in the world, but only a staunch "opera purist" would accuse these two musical-theatre people of not being able to sing. Miss Channing and Miss Burnett had plenty of idiosyncrasies, but that is 70% of their charm. They are actors who can sing, not singers who can act. I always prefer musical performances by people who are either straight dramatic actors or comics, first and foremost, because their performances have sincerity.

I don't agree with you. I could have gone on watching them! I grew up watching them
