Look at the backup singers even realizing that she is giving one hell of a performance. Most people know Aretha Franklin is an amazingly gifted woman who has had a stellar career that spanned decades....but out of all the great songs, all the great performances, and all the accolades she’s had, THIS performance at 73 years old fighting cancer and still being able to open her mouth and move an audience like that. Look at how gracious and humble these legends were, taking a bow after every performance. With Aretha's stature, she can just stand there, but nope, she was born in a different generation and taking a bow is second nature to her. Just goes to show how she respects and appreciates her audience. The only other artist I know that did that was Whitney, she never fails to take a bow or even clap with the audience after every performance. In today's artists, nobody ever does that anymore.
@RamtownMike4 жыл бұрын
That's a really good observation and quite true. It's a shame that practice of appreciating others and clapping or bowing to show it publicly is no longer 'a thing'. Whitney & Aretha were indeed class.
