I give my thanks for sharing this video, to hear Ms. Lombard converse with Mr. Stewart and Mr. Grant is fun to listen to.

It is so great to hear her voice! Amy Poehler reminds me so much of Carole. I feel like they'd be amazing in a skit together.

Its hard to believe that she's been dead for 71 years. Died January 16, 1942 at the young age of 32. Rest In Peace and Rest In Power, beautiful and kind lady. Forever in our hearts ❤❤❤❤❤❤😇🥰

Grande Carol. Che voce dolcissima e affascinante. Una donna davvero fantastica e intelligente. Una artista bella e brava. Complimenti di vero cuore. Grazie.

I'm waiting for a damn movie about the love that lombard & Clark had.

There are two very good books about it: Gable and Lombard and Fireball. I think there was a movie of Gabel and Lombard previously.

There's a movie from the 1970's about it Titled Gable and Lombard

There was a very shitty movie made in '76 called Gable and Lombard. Completely inaccurate. Total garbage. But you can watch it on KZbin.

It's too bad that these are scripted. We don't learn anything about the off-screen personalities. It's just one continuous performance.

Her birthname was Jane Alice Peters. Why'd she change it? Hopefully she wasn't ashamed of her Father?!

So many actors & actresses change their name when they go to Hollywood . It's not unusual, even in 2024- never mind 1934.

Like many people who went into Acting work in L.A. - the deal would be to change this, that and the other. Including ( known to the Public) Marital Status, Hair Color, accent - and name. It's been that way for what- 90 years? Same with the music industry. Now, and back then . Find out what John Wayne's real name is and get back to the folks on here. That's showbiz, folks !

@@noelsalisbury7448 I just think of it as not only a misrepresentation of self, but a slap in the face of parents, & most likely at the behest of a greedy Studio or Business Manager?! Selling-out your birth name for anticipation of a greater buck, is shallow & caving in to 'Hollywood'.

Were people really this quick? Was there never a lull in conversation? Or are they reading this? They pepper in a lot of advertisements, which isn’t natural to the average chitter chatter. So, maybe I’m a dope for thinking these were actual interviews.

It's a bit 'stilted'.....but they still do this kind of thing in 2024. And it always sounds a bit pompous, somehow.

The editing is poor...cutting off mid sentence at the end.

Wasn't my doing. This is literally a compilation of all the radio interviews I could find. When it ends is the end of the interview I found.

@@intotheblue96You did your best. I think you'd have to go deep into the LA Studios to get stuff . Q. Is there no " Fan Club " or 'Appreciation Society' of hers to ask stuff of ?
