I love the sparkle you got on your trees and background. As for dryer sheets. You can do a lot with those things and you're absolutely right. Cheap products are not your friend. Once I bought a box of cheap dryer sheets cause someone told me dryer sheets would pick up dog hair. Well not wanting to spend the extra bucks on Bounce, I went for the cheapies and boy was that a mistake.Those things didn't pick up nothing, the only picking up was when I picked them up off the floor to throw them away. Determined not to let this defeat me, I went back to the store and bought the name brand dryer sheets, you know, the ones that smell so good? I took one out and hey! It worked. It must be the smell that picks up the hair, not the sheet itself. I love you Carol.

+Debbie T Well, howdy my sweet Southern Bell....I love cheap dryer sheets, and I will tell you why. I take up my register's, and put a cheap dryer sheet over the hole, put the register back down, over the cheap dryer sheet, and the smell is scrumpdilicous when the heat, or A/C blows through it.....The other reason is I can throw 50 of them in the dryer, instead of 1 good one to dry my laundry.....lmgo You are one of a kind my friend.

Just a tip, after using aerosol spray, turn can upside down, give it a spray upside down to clear spray nozzle, should be good to go next time, this works with any aerosol spray can. Tutorial was great. thank you.

@fenixdesigns5 жыл бұрын
Agreed... was just going to make that suggestion but then saw you already did! I usually take it outside to do it... even though not much comes out, I still don't like the idea of openly spraying inside and possibly getting overspray on something that I'll then have to clean up (nor do I want to breathe in any more than absolutely necessary!) Then afterwards I clean the nozzle with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. So no pin-poking is ever needed which also risks gougng out that tiny nozzle opening too much and possibly affecting the fineness/smoothness of future spraying (which is even more potentially detrimental when concerning spray paint cans!) Plus, with the sticky adhesive cans, a pin/needle can only undo so much damage to clear out a dried out & cured blockage! Whereas spraying upside down right after use clears up the "airways" (so to speak), and then the alcohol wipe takes care of any residual gunk that might still be on the surface of the nozzle... much easier to clean it up wth alcohol while it's still fresh and not fully cured... rather than ages later when it's already gotten good 'n hard... (or should I say 'bad 'n hard'?? lol)

Awww... I didn't consider your talking as "rambling on." I like to hear people talking, just being themselves. I loved your attitude about making a mistake and having a Plan B!!! I have made my best cards because I had to cover a mistake. Nice to know that it happens and to see what others do. Your Plan C remark was so funny. I liked discovering with you that the card was better on the outside of the dryer sheet! It made if more fun than just a slick presentation. You have a blessed day too.

I enjoyed your tutorial, some of it I had already learned, some of it was new. It truly showed the time that it would take to make this card! Thank you for sharing. Giving pointers is always helpful, but yet if you truly do not like someones talent or the way they convey it then just move along....if you can't say anything nicely then don't say anything! You did your "disclaimer" admitting that you talk too much as well as that you knew it was a long video so if the viewer felt that this was a concern then they should have turned it off. Thanks Carol, I did learn something from your tutorial. Keep sharing :)
@CarolHeld6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for this kind comment today. We all need encouragement, right? smile I appreciate you viewing also. Yes, I do talk a lot in my tutorials. After doing this tutorial, I took the time to learn to edit, and to do voiceovers so my tutorials could be more productive with the content. haha Now, I still talk a lot on my voiceover's also. hahahahaha This was an older tutorial when I first began my journey, and after all this time, I am still gabbing, and having a whole lot of fun. I don't want to drive people away with the length of them however, so I now say, if they don't have time to view, just skim through to see if there is something that interests them, and move on. LOL Have a great weekend Bettina. Take care.

Thank you for showing mistakes it shows us newbies not to give up. Also healthy tip if you use dryer sheets in dryer take your lint filter out and wash it with soap and water. Dryer sheet residue builds up and stops up the filter which can cause dryer fires.

Good evening Rebecca. It is a pleasure hearing from you this evening and for the wonderful tip. This was one of my early tutorials when I began my KZbin journey. Just starting out and still enjoying every minute. smile I know what you mean with checking the trap for buildups. I thought my dryer was broke a few months back as it wouldn't give me heat and I had to keep starting it over and over to get our clothes dry. I ran outside to check to see of the dryer hole thingy was plugged or the trap had fallen to the ground. I took my hand and started cleaning the lint and to my surprise a $20.00 bill was stuck in the trap and as soon as took it out the dryer never gave me a problem. I thanked my hubby for the money that must have fallen out of his work pants and I am a happy camper since. LOL Have a fabulous week and great hearing from you.

Also, they were all 29 minutes...haha I am so thankful you took the time to watch this I am trying to edit them down to a time that is more suitable for busy crafter's...hahaha Thank you also for Subscribing. I certainly do appreciate that. Have a great week, and I hope to see you my other vids.....smiles

Good Afternoon Linda. Thanks for taking the time to comment, and to view this rather long tutorial. hahaha Yes, I have had to use the dryer sheets on many intricate dies that I have. It really does save you so much aggravation trying to get the paper out, doesn't it? hahahaha Have a wonderful week Linda. Take care.

I loved the white on brown! So classy... I am very proud of you for doing this video without all the knowledge of these young kiddos re: editing, computers, cameras, etc. I taught JH for 37 years. I tried to teach them to "do it, learn, do it again, etc. and eventually you will realize you ARE A PRO NOW... Great job, fantastic attitude! Better..you made me laugh with plan B, C My motto, "if it's not a good time it then makes a great funny story".
@CarolHeld6 жыл бұрын
Now, this is an older tutorial for sure. smiles I started out without the knowledge of electronic helps for sure. I found it more work to have to prepare things for a project on YT so I learned how to edit and voiceover to get more work completed. hahahaha I am glad to hear you enjoyed this one for sure. You are a blessing and I thank you for making my day today with your kindness.

Good evening Teri. How are you doing? Fine I hope. It sure is an early video ....haha I loved making video's when I began with this one, and still do today. smile I didn't have the knowledge to do an edit, or a voiceover, but I still had a love for card making, so I just filmed what I loved to create, and the techniques I thought were cool. This is one video that has staying with me above all others for some reason. I had so much fun doing this tutorial. This was when I began crafting. I sure appreciate you viewing it ....and more than once. teehee. I can't express how much I appreciate you dropping by to let me know you enjoyed it. Have a terrific week. Blessings.

A lovely evening to you Sandra. May I first thank you for viewing one of my earlier tutorials. I was learning to work with new equipment that was inexpensive and also experiementing with the side the camera should be on. yada yada. hahaha I used to be kind of embarressed by my first tutorials as I didn't know how to edit/voiceover and such. I did learn so much for the early days that were such a growing stage for me. I am delighted you enjoyed this one. Have a blessed weekend. smiles

I know you did this a while ago, but I use a pizza style box to do all my spraying in - whether it's glue spray, glitter spray or anything. This way it's contained to one area. I line the inside of the box with old paper and after it's used a few times, I just toss the paper. You may have picked up this ideas since doing this video - but just thought I would share. I do have to say - I love this technique - it is so pretty and makes such a statement to the recipient. Thanks for the reminding me - I'll have to work on it again!

I appreciate this REAL video. I think we crafters sometimes expect professional/smooth as silk/no problems with our projects, often times leading to frustration and disappointment. I love that you showed the ingenuity to go forward and the end result is unexpected and beautiful...THAT is what makes ART so wonderful. =) Thanks for sharing Your inspiring ideas...You gained a new subscriber in Me. ~Blessings~

This is so heartwarming Konny. I always have tried to share my passion for creating, in hopes that through it, someone would be inspired to create, and share their talent along the way. I appreciate the insight in your comment to me. Professions/smooth video's seldom happens in my world. haha Even after learning to edit, so I didn't bore people to sleep through my work, I seem to achieve some negative input. I take it at face value, and use it to grow my work, because adversity can make one stronger. Thank you for this kindness. Thank you also for subscribing to my channel.
