I grew up at Kure Beach, many years ago! We pronounced it cure, like you cure meat. I had never heard it pronounced Kureee until I moved to the western part of NC. Next time you go to Southport, ask the locals how to get to “the point .” There you can wade in the water and find live sand dollars!

This was absolutely one of my favorite travel videos. My favorite state, town (Wilmington) favorite movie and favorite family. I live in east Tennessee and we have magnolia trees and canopy trees everywhere too. I love it. ❤❤

Publix…where shopping is a pleasure! Lol! I think there are six within four miles of my house! What a great trip! The ocean looked gorgeous. I’m staying near the shore this summer. We’ve had SO many sharks in the Gulf down here in FL. The little beach towns in NC reminded me of the South shore of Long Island where I grew up. So glad y’all had a relaxing vacation ❤

I grew up on the Outer Banks and yes the live oaks are beautiful here in NC. I love that most of our beaches preserved them. Some beaches cut them down. Southport is really beautiful. Have you been to Ocracoke? You would love it!

I loved this even though I saw your Instagram post I was so excited to see this. We loved camping but haven’t since the girls were young. Wilmington is just a little over an hour from Myrtle. Wonder if I can talk hubby into leaving to go down a day early to take a tour. He’s always talked about the battleship. Bacon cooked over a fire is the best!! Was always one of my favorite meals!! I could pass on the s’mores (some) but love a burnt marshmallow lol Thank you for sharing this!! Enjoyed !!

Thunderstorms and rain are the reasons I do not camp I go glamping,. We have a motor home and we are planning a cross country trip this summer, I can’t wait. We are retired so we have no time restrictions.we will be taking our two kitties with us I hope that goes well fingers crossed, lol.
