Carolina Elite Series Round 3: Strawberry Hill MX Park, +40 Moto 2

Fast company in the +40 class with Doug Earls and Bodhi Mau. Really enjoyed trying to push my pace with these two!! Ended up 3rd in both motos for 3rd OA, but my points lead for the series in this should be solid for now.

Nice vid. Love that track. The up and down hills are fun to ride. Used to ride there 20 years ago. Great to see Dub has reopened it some these days.

TY sir! Strawberry Hill has a very nice flow to it and is very popular with the vet crowd for the very reasons you noticed! Really good dirt too for SC, brown dirt is pretty rare instead of just red clay!! They have vintage races there too, it's really a blast on the older bikes. It's the oldest operational track in our state, established in the mid 70s!

@@markswartmx56 I cant believe i never heard of it back in the 90's when i raced all the time. Going to ride Revolution this Sunday for the first time since getting a bike again. Saw your race vid there too.

Good job. Looks like you got winded towards the end . Track looked good. I guess I should gone. Just rode my track. I'll be gone for most of June and July weekends riding Unafaqindilla, Mid Ohio, Southwick, Honda Hills and Shady Acres in MD. May do DNA Wednesday nights. We'll race someday at the same place. Later

I'm definitely planning the Chauga Valley vintage race this fall, and it sounds like SEVMX may run another round at Strawberry Hill this fall. I don't feel great about bringing my 89 125 to the 125 shootout race though, since it seems to be mostly modern bikes.

Did they change the face and landings at all? I know last time I was there I was feeling super sketchy on the back 3 tables

They redid the faces on the tables - nothing extreme, just made them uniform again. I think they are much better now, I was having a blast through them, especially over the last one whipping it a little.
