Very nice collection. Wes Gordon has certainly remained loyal to the Carolina Herrera design. I especially liked the 1950s inspired looks. The gold metalics made up an entirely different collection alone. They might have well been in another show. I didn't understand why most of the models didn't have on any make-up. Of course the focus is on the fashions, but cosmetics help complete the entire look. Some of those models desperately needed it.

beautiful and classic but felt dated

I simply despise the way most of today's shows make you sit on benches with no back support! I miss the days of cushioned gilded chairs -- they were far more comfortable and had great back support. This stadium or bleachers like setup now is hideous, with all of the poor posture, etc., I'm sure patrons become weary in their lower backs... I've been attending shows since the mid 1980s - early 2000s, up until Saint Laurent's and Valentino's retirement, and I even remember sitting in gilded chairs at The Plaza during Carolina Herrera shows 1989-1991 whilst a student at Pratt Institute of Art & Design, NYC. Call me "old school," I won't mind a bit.

It's mostly because the benches work better for transportation, construction and, eventually, recycling. This is important, because runway shows are held in rented spaces. In the end, shows only last 10 to 20 minutes these days, so their backs should be fine.

Since you’ve been going to fashion shows since the 80’s you know that every fashion house has been bought out by banks and investors. It COSTS LOTS of money for those GILDED chairs and everything is about the bottom line! CUT COSTS when and wherever they can. NOW, let’s talk about the fashion. CH has impeccable taste always has. The new designer has that same since ability. Sophisticated glamour, elegant silhouettes, and gorgeous fabrics!!!! Wes Gordon has the same taste level. BRAVO!!!!!
