Fun fact: this song is really about one time when the band almost die in a bus trip and had to push the bus up in the mountains of German, Carolina IV was the name of the bus and they decide to make the story about ships that came from Portugal in the time of the discovery of Brazil but never get to the destination

In addition to the poetic and singular lyrics, I believe that many Angra fans identify with this song because it presents a sound in which we can almost immediately recognize (being Brazilians) elements of our culture that are very well represented and so well intertwined with the powerful metal that the band has always ambitioned. There is no need to say more about this song, which for me is a jewel ✨ among the many of this band, one of the most brilliant.

This is the second album of the first lineup from angra. The temple of shadows is the second from the second lineup. Basically, they change the singer, drummer and bass player. Both albuns are classic!

the lyrics of this song is incredibly good, it tells the story of a sailor who was invited to be party of the carolina iv crew. however, on its return trip, the man is thrown into the sea, and spend his last moments lamenting his unfulfilled wish to see his loved ones again.

I love this song and the differents references on it. @@pitumusico Metal, Axé, MPB e Música Erudita em uma única - magnífica - canção. Não sou músico, mas, na minha humilde opinião, o Angra e o Sepultura no auge estão no mesmo patamar do Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Megadeth, Deep Purple e outros gigantes do metal. Mas como são bandas brasileiras, não conseguem a mídia necessária pra estourar como as outras.

That intro and also the ending rythm has a strong Brazilian regional influence, thats a Northeast folk style and I like how they blended with metal, although that song is kinda too pussy for me. I would defnitely take a look at the Fireworks album, the most old school Power Metal Angra IMO. No flufy stuff, just drums and guitars, solid not cheesy vocals and a heavy bass. The last work OMNI is really crappy in terms of composing, even with top notch producing quality. Ignore it.

I find these kinds of reactions unnecessary. With total lack of content. The guy never heard Angra? A band that is recognized all over the world, with more than 25 years of career and something else, Americans, English, etc. who think they like Latin music especially Brazilian, do not realize that this music has many elements of our culture. They even pay homage to the great Hermeto Pascoal. In other words, the person makes a Reacty puts it on KZbin and finds it interesting. Forgive me for the rudeness but I find that ridiculous. Recognize in life to research the history of the band. I haven't seen it yet and I don't know any band that had the ability and talent to create an album like that by combining so much talent and components of our music into one single album. again I'm sorry for the outburst. Maestro R.I.P.(Acho esses tipos de reações desnecessárias. Com total falta de conteúdo. O cara nunca ouviu Angra? I feel the same way when people who have never heard bands like Rush or Katatonia, react to them. Often times they miss so much. It upsets me. Then I remember back to when I first started listening to the bands I love and I recall that I didn't know much about them when I first heard them. Yet, there was something that hooked me from the start. After that it was a lifetime of learning and appreciation. What I am saying is please don't be too concerned with my lack of knowledge, specifically on the points you mentioned, because it is the journey of listening to a band that reveals the internal dynamics. Enjoy the journey.
