I have 50 ml sultan vetiver. My wife said it smells like soap. Very masculin to me and king of longevity. I have decant bottles of zenne and karagoz. To my skin, zenne (spicy vanilla) has better longevity than karagoz. Patchuli koza? Stinks. Then I bought 50 ml zenne because better than ani (plain vanilla).

Fun video even though I disagreed, or shall we say have different taste. I love Wulong Cha and Ani the most from this house. They tie for my number one from Nishane and luckily their for opposite seasons. Since I love vetiver and Samantha had such a revulsion, I now gotta try Sultan Vetiver. SOTD: Wulong Cha (its warm in New England, I'll save Ani until it drops below 60)

Hey Scott!! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, AND Samantha's honest opinions. Believe it or not, the first video we did, she chose Oud for Greatness as one of her top picks! I TOTALLY get what you're saying though. So many people out here hyping free bottles & making out like some of these more complicated & complex fragrances are going to appeal to the masses. Then when they drop $200-$300 on them & they hate them, they are not happy campers! That's EXACTLY why I always say "sample before you buy" & "fragrance is very subjective" There's several fragrances that took months or even years before I truly liked or appreciated them.

I know right!! She actually has a pretty good nose to be a rookie, but I'm really curious how her taste would change in even 6-8 months. She likes certain fragrances that you wouldn't think someone new would like. Of course some of these tricky scent profiles will have to take time & smelling more & more of them

Usually people start with CREED or PdM, which are amazing brands too, but so much easyier to like. As a community, maybe we need to listen more to people who are fairly new to the hobby, also when it comes to reviews to keep being unbiased.

Yep, definitely subjective for sure! The fresh, green, & clean vetiver fragrances are a lot more mass appealing, but some of the more earthy or "dirty" Vetiver scents are harder for some people. Hope you're having a great weekend
