Sorry, but the background music does not match the images and is to loud, saturating and the post.

@@crystalyj30 if people don’t tell me this stuff then I can’t make it better. So thank you for letting me know. A lot of times I’m doing this quickly because of how busy I am. But I do need to stop and watch the entire thing to make sure it’s good. Thank you so much for watching!!

I was in Sea Explorers in the late 1950's-early 1960's, and we were treated to a yearly cruise from Norfolk to Jamestown on Oscar Smith's stunning GREBE.

Oh! Wow!! A wood one correct? What size was it? Did it look similar to Santee?
@jerrycallender9927 Жыл бұрын
@@CarolinaMarineGroupCharleston Oh, yes...This was 50 or so years ago - Mr. Smith - Chesapeake, Virginia - has a High School named after him - would send the yacht to what is now Town Point Park in Norfolk where we would board, then the Captain would set sail to Jamestown Island, and as soon as the nose touched the bottom, he would reverse course back to Norfolk. I'll guess 50'-55', mebbe larger. The wheel house was open with a small area over the trunk with facing settees, and a covered cockpit off the Master. NAN JAN was the yacht's name.

Actually, it was 60+ years ago, not 50. While in bed last night my mind 'corrected' a few points in my post. My Sea Explorer ship rowed from Town Point to Elizabeth City every year. We boarded Mr. Smith's yacht at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club on Hampton Boulevard, but NAN JAN is squarely in my mind.

How many hours are on the motors and how much is it if it’s still available?
@CarolinaMarineGroupCharleston Жыл бұрын
Still available. I have not really actively showing the boat because I've been trying to get all the systems up online and getting a good detailed account of what works and what doesn't. As it sat on land for a survey with nothing operational it's surveyed out at 225,000 and that is the asking price as of now. I will get the hours for you hopefully sometime early this week.

I mite have missed, what's the beam, & draft & height, didn't see a contact info 😊
@CarolinaMarineGroupCharleston8 ай бұрын
I think the beam is around 18 draft is about 4 1/2 and I would have to check the height probably around 18 feet for rough numbers for you

Beautiful vessel. How much is she?
@CarolinaMarineGroupCharleston Жыл бұрын
Asking 225,000. That is what we got for a recent survey evaluation for sale. The Boat should be going in the water this week and getting all of the mechanicals up and running.

I wonder if 500k would be a good refurbished budget?
@CarolinaMarineGroupCharleston Жыл бұрын
@@tomingrassiaimages8776 I’m guessing around 40-50 k. It’s pretty solid. Dropping it in the water this week.

How much
@CarolinaMarineGroupCharleston Жыл бұрын
It’s surveyed out on land for 225. I have gotten engines up and running transmissions going and working on getting the rest of the systems up and running this week for seactrials.
