Same.... I'm kind of hoping it turns out to be like the series Gray's Anatomy. They ended that series several years ago but because there was such an outpouring from fans for it to come back, they brought it back like a year or so later and it continues to run new episodes today. Fingers crossed this happens with Doc Martin because it's truly the only show I watch and surprisingly, I relate to the Doc in so many ways 😳😂🤷‍♀️

What is the age diff between the 2? He's 62 but just saw a clip on "Good Morning" with really long hair and looks allot older (like in his 70's) whereas She looks the same almost the same as S1. Seriously here I'm struggling to guess her age. 45? 50? 55 max. But doesn't look it. 😮

They have checked all the boxes for what is appealing (& necessary) to hold your attention 💖 What a gift to all of us this has been…there is just nothing bad to say about any single episode….except the sorrow that it has come to an end. I disagree, they basically ruined all the characters over the years and made them total nutters. Look at Mrs Tishell and Bert Large. They had become ludicrous and unlikeable by the end. Because the writers insisted on making everything that ever happened in Portwenn turn into a complete disaster

I've also seen a French version, set in Brittany, of course, in a small town twinned with Port Wen. The episode I saw had an identical storyline to an English one I'd already seen. It was enjoyable, though I have to say the French doctor was not quite as neuro-divergent as the fabulous Doc Martin!

I love the show. I can't imagine anyone else playing Louisa Ellingham. Caroline is perfect as the good Doctor's wife. She is patient, smart, gentle, and she understands Martin. I can watch every episode over and over without getting tired of this great show. 👍

I watched the Farewell Doc Martin last night on itv3. Very interesting seeing the cast and crew, the sets, etc. Very emotional, as they film the last ep. FAB details like the actress playing Mrs Tishal is actually friends with Sigourney Weaver in real life! That ep was BRILLIANT! Martin Clunes fans are known as Clunatics!!!! I LOVE Doc Martin, and I'm enjoying watching all the repeats.

There are so many hosts who lack the art of interviewing: I find it very annoying. The interview should be about the guest not the host. The host should ask the guest a question and let the guest answer the question uninterrupted. As for Caroline Catz, she is a very talented actress. I have just started re-watching the Vice series from the early 2000's with her and Ken Stott. She literally does not appear to have aged. I look forward to her next project.

There comes a time when every very popular program simply runs out of storylines. It simply goes stale. If the main characters become too “developed,” they turn into different people and they no longer mesh with one another. If they don’t develop, they become arrested clichés of themselves. In America, there’s a term for a series overstaying its time, “jump the shark” (you can look it up). Doc Martin didn’t need to get to the point that it jumped the shark. I don’t understand why they didn’t have a final season where the doc gets over his phobia and gets the big job in London. That was such an annoying buzz kill when they canceled the big move to London and then ended the show where basically nothing happens story wise and there’s no closure for anything.

Why didn’t they make an actual ending? Nothing really happened in the final episode. I also don’t understand why they never had doc go get that big job or something to close out the story. They also did nothing with his phobia or struggles with socializing. This story didn’t really need a full ending per se but the Christmas story wasn’t really any sort of ending at all.
