tbh i feel like everyone treated bad and unfairly. when caroline turned, nobody tried to find a cure or something for her, but when elena turned everyone did everything they could to find one. bonnie was by elenas side when she turned, she didn’t want to be there for caroline when she turned. elenas parents died and everyone felt bad for her for so many seasons but both caroline’s parents died and everyone grieved for one episode. tyler said shit about her, matt treated her like shit, damon treated her like shit. bonnie was usually with elena.

WHEN HAS CAROLINE EVER BEEN KLAUS FIRST CHOICE?! OR A CHOICE AT ALL?! Caroline didn’t want him and he wasn’t in love with her, he just liked how her mind worked, how pretty and strong she was and how she would never go for him. Caroline’s last scene in tvdu isn’t really about Klaus, it’s about how she’s still in love with someone who is dead and how she managed to see Klaus as a friend after so many awful things he did. And Klaus tried to kill Caroline so many times I would hardly say he “always put her first” or “considered her his first choice” but ok.

i almost cried, this made me really emotional, honestly. i re-watched TVD recently and cried when i realized how much i relate to caroline and how she feels like she is never the one (that scene where she tells elena she is never going to get it because she is always first choice... oh gosh, it just always gets me), her character development was incredible and sometimes i feel like people don't talk about that enough, she obviously deserved better. the way this songs fits her is insane... even though to me she is heather because i just love her. the editing is beautiful and the details are perfect. i just love this!!!

Honestly, Caroline is a really underrated character. Elena usually has all of the attention and it is honestly really annoying. My first time watching TVD, I did not really notice it, but with each of my past 6 rewatches, (yes, I counted) I just keep getting more and more irritated with her. She is so annoying, a lot of people might think that her stubbornness is a sign of strength or something, but it is just extremely annoying. Everyone treats her like she is something special, but she is not. Elena is just a super overrated character, I am glad that characters like Caroline are started to be noticed. I could honestly just rant about how obnoxious and overrated Elena is, but I will not because I am trying not to be that petty :) Basically, I'm just happy that unnoticed characters are now being noticed, even if it has been 11 years.

Steroline was basically Forwood all over again. Like he would look out for and help everyone but whenever it came to Caroline he would always leave. And he would claim it was for her but all she wanted was for him to be there with her and he never was. I loved their friendship and their romantic relationship had a lot of potential but after season 5, Stefan’s character became really annoying and self-absorbed. The peak of their relationship was when they had their first kiss (‘cuz let’s be real that was a beautiful scene) and their relationship was just as toxic and unhealthy just in a different way (not including when their humanity was off that was pretty bad) For example, Damon and Elena’s relationship was unhealthy because Damon was a murderer and he liked murder, Elena wasn’t a fan(one of many reasons why their relationship was toxic) whereas Stefan didn’t trust Caroline, he lied to Caroline, he made choices for her, he never put her feelings or opinions into consideration and not only that but everyone told him or at least implied that Caroline deserved better. Such as Cade (who was basically the devil), Rayna, Alaric, Klaus, Enzo, Valerie, Damon (yes freaking Damon) and last but not least (drum roll please) Stefan Salvatore himself like 5 times Thank you for listening to my TedTalk that felt really good. I have a lot more to say but it would take a while. Also no hate to Steroline shippers (you don’t chose your ship, your ship choses you) just Steroline itself.
