I distinctly remember two questions and answers: Q: You're not really a teenager, are you? A: No, I'm 23. Q: Why do you have two first names? A: Because I can. Since it was to promote the show, I've always figured that the interview took place in the first season.

Correction about the pilot episode: If the character Sabrina was born in 1981, then she was actually 15 and a Freshman in High School when the series first began not 16 just as a coincidence. Because, IIRC Melissa Joan Hart was already 20 years old when she landed the title role The fact is her character didn't turn Sweet 16 until around the show’s second season (1997-98) as the series progressed she got older until the 7th & final season without the aunts she would be either 22 to 23 years old by the time that show was axed!

Interesting, but maybe being witches, they go by the old world style of counting age, she is in her sixteenth year, thus she is 16...but LOL, I just think it's so much fun diving into the minutia of some random idea some creators had that turned into a show...it makes me feel less horrible about the reality we exist in, that we can leave it aside for a little while and talk about something we actually enjoy...I know I'm talking to you from years in the future, but I wish you the best, peace.
