Typical Carolyn Arends. Write some great lyrics and a gorgeous melody, surround it with lush chords and deliver it all as if it’s no big deal, and slip in vocals by THE Amy Grant just for good measure. Your songs, your heart and soul, continue to bless so many. Thank you once again for sharing your gifting, and congratulations on an awesome new creation.

These two women have certainly paid their dues. Love this. It's a song that the world needs to hear these days, in my opinion...Just when you think pop music has seen it's demise...haha. Loved the lines from the Cohen and Cockburn songs. There may have been others but .. Anyway, well done!

So happy that the video with you and Amy came to fruition-wonderful!! This song is so very universal and needed right now. A year ago during the worst of the pandemic in Italy, people were singing from their balconies. This past week via news reports from the streets of Kabul, I listened carefully to hear sparse yet present music! Even the most tone-deaf person has a song in his or her heart put there by God to give thanks and show that hopefulness. Thanks, Carolyn, Amy and all who put this one together!

Oh my! I just love this! Singing a lot got me through 2020 (and many artists sharing their music from home too!) I’ve kept singing through 2021, including saying goodbye to our 33 year old daughter in February, the end of her 3 year battle with cancer. To Cry For You was such a timely song, and I quoted it in her Celebration Of Life in May!

I’m sorry for the loss of your daughter this past February. I also kept singing To Cry For at my Dad in law’s funeral in May and I’m sure I’ll be singing it at my aunt’s memorial service in September. She passed on our son’s birthday, which is also Valentine’s Day. This song will also be part of my personal playlist that day. Between both fine young women, I have quite a nice playlist arranged for the hour drive over & home from the church. To Cry For You is really a good song for memorial services.
