I'm sorry, this scene made me laugh so much. Carolyns' humour and her being dragged on the sand by V is hilarious

"A wrench. Oh come on! You're more inventive than that, you've always been more inventive" Gotta love Carolyn. Even in the face of death she still found time to criticise Villanelle's lack of originality and artistry.

Nah, she was sweet talking her way out of death and it worked.

@@jasminehouston-burns1691 Yep. All Carolyn had to do was give Villanelle something Eve, The therapist or religion wouldn't. Validation of both her humanity and her monster.

@@Senate300 Well Christianity is true, but... There's an interesting theme of the managerial agents cradling others to comfort them as a way to get them to give up information. In S1, Carolyn talking about the guy Villanelle killed nicely in the hotel. The guy she was supposed to get with her ex and the other guy who got away with Eve. That guy. He acts too fatigued to talk and Carolyn takes off her coat and says, "I know what he needs." You don't expect it's a hug. Then there's this whole plotline about how management is about making people feel good, like they're special. It raises questions about the depth of Villanelle's psychopathy. Regardless of the answer, I noticed it's a behavior that was maintained throughout all seasons. Even in Helene's final scene just before Villanelle slices her heels, she's on the phone with Gunn consoling her. Immediately after she gets off the call, she says, "Idiot."

@@jasminehouston-burns1691 Oh yes. We call that being two faced. Something Carolyn was better than Helene who was too transparent. The way Helene spoke to Assassins under her watch was similar to that of how Pimps would talk to hoes on their payroll.
