Rob that was one of your best podcasts ever. I was riveted. Somehow the connection between you two was so special, as you are so different, yet both love Survivor so much. Carolyn you’re an incredible person, and you have really good values. You should work with handicapped people or something, very big heart. Still humble after all this time. Carolyn's a real one! Love how Carolyn was brutally honest about the experience and what it actually feels like. I think most people mask and hide their feelings, especially in the new era, when they're betrayed. With strategy being so promoted as create genuine, authentic bonds with people to make it through the game to win, is a much more difficult than people make it out to be. Creating trust, genuine bonds with people, whether a game or not, is an emotional, vulnerable investment. That's the only way it really works! So I am grateful for Carolyn being brave to explain how raw and real the experience is. I think if I went on a show like Survivor, I would prepare myself for hate. I would prepare myself to be made fun of and do my best to lean into it. I would ignore the malicious hate but really, truly develop the "thick skin" to take the joke. It's fun to make light of situations, we all do dumb things, we're all imperfect, and it's okay! Sense of humor is so important to have in general. It breaks down the pressure, it tempers our egos, and helps us realize we're all just fumbling through life together.

Personally my new era Mount Rushmore has Carolyn at number 1 every single time. Mary Anne, Rickard and Jesse I think are my others but they're all open to debate. Carolyn is non negotiable. Genuine Question: Why does it sound like Carolyn is defending herself all the time and who she is as person? She's amazing, but I ask because she gets overwhelming praise for being unapologetically herself from the RHAP community and Survivor fans, but is acting like the audience does not "understand" her, when she has a loyal audience/fanbase and a podcast platform to speak her mind. From the outside perspective, her podcast been a great success and she has wonderful fans out there who are here supporting her and work -- which is amazing, but at some point, it gets tired hearing her think she does't "deserve it" when the audience response from her, has been massive in a positive way. it's just lot of justifying, defending, and explaining energy from her. It just feels really off, when someone like Carolyn is defending herself to the fans who in fact, 100% understand her, support her and back her.
