Beautiful area. Took my mom on a road trip back to her home town in Minnesota before she passed. I think she was 82. We took that highway. She lived to 93. Awesome woman ❤

Truest fabulous. Keep doing it, I love it! One other thing, it seems in at least a couple states the Indians followed the herds, the fur trappers followed the Indian trail and the road builders followed the Indians. Many Rts in New Jersey I spent a few years in

What a beautiful route! But it definitely was not like that with a paved road for Lewis and Clark!!! A lot in Idaho reminds me of Colorado:) ....the mountains, the narrow rivers... laughing at Sadies reaction to the statue of the bear! Love all of the little A-frames. Yes to this being a destination wedding kind of place (for the rustic romantics:) Thank you so much for including the peaceful sound of the river... in the forest where you stay for the night in the forest. This is one of your incredible videos where you include history, Lewis and Clark following the Nez Perce trails... sad event of course.... Cedar groves, yes!

Hi, Carolyn. I just subscribed, but that's just because I finally got a Google account. I was resisting. I have been watching your channel for about 4 years. You were the first youtube channel I watched completely. Thanks to you and Nomadic Fanatic my husband and I were inspired to buy a 1997 Southwind Storm (25' Class A) in the fall of 2018. It took us a year to get it fully maintained and outfitted. He was already retired. I retired at Easter 2019. We spent November 2019 thru March 2020 in Arizona, and loved it so much. We felt healthier and more relaxed. We had the typical RV issues and worked well as a team. We had our 2 cats with us. Roadey didn't care so much for the on the road part and would stay under one of the seats. He was fine and happy once we were parked. R V Stevey enjoyed the experience 100%. We have spent the last year at home because of Covid, but are hoping we can again take a trip to AZ this fall/winter. Eventually we hope to explore more of some of the other western states. Washington and Idaho are at the top of the list. Thank you for today's lovely video. Thank you for being you. I'm thrilled I can finally thumb's up your videos. Nancy W of Reno, NV

Enjoyed this so much. I have a Class-C, it's only 23' but Natl Forests usually are ok with 20' or less and Natl Parks don't allow dogs on trails--only in the campground. So I am looking for remote places to go where I feel safe...and it gives me ideas of places to go. Thank you.

It's so awesome that you guys drove Hwy. 12! It's one of my new fav areas. Only just discovered the area this past summer and fall, near same time frame as you. I camped up the same road (Selway River), only I went all the way up river and stayed at this little campground on the other side of the river. We hiked up into the Selway-Bitterroot wilderness area for about 10 miles. Kooskia is a pretty cool little place, I slept at that little park at the turn. How about that cedar grove, Devoto was the reason I went there the first time. Did you stop and look at all those old trucks, like a road side museum. The next time I took that route on my way to the North Cascades and Olympic N.P. and then south all the way along the coast to the Redwoods near Humboldt. The Pacific Northwest is so enchanting. When I leave Yellowstone, it will be my base during the summers.
