And now they (National Park Service/State of Maryland/Montgomery County) restored the carousel in 2003 to make it look the way it did in 1921 when it was brand new :)

Indeed they did, and did a magnificent job of it. You can see the results in the music video "Rings on Me Fingers." -j.

@@jimzvidiettes6041 Yes I saw it and I visit periodically! In this video, you can see from 4:10-4:15 that there was a stander rabbit - how is that possible? Unless they were out of order before the restoration. I rode the carousel back in the 1990s before the restoration and the only rabbits were jumpers. My favourite part of the carousel is by far the rounding boards: I like seeing the jesters, princesses, and angel heads as well as the scrolls, diamonds, clamshells, and flowers!

Sounds like the organ is sounding bad and it’s skipping but sounds lord have mercy
