Join me on my first session on my ‘quest for a 30’ series. Fishing for the first time on the WAA water, little Sandiway. The fishing is never going to be easy, and getting any information is very difficult. #Thatscarpy #carpy #carpfishing #carpy #fishing #karpfen #sonikxtractor #foxeospro #halfawrap #totalcarp #parkerbaits #bringinthecarp #ogfruitandnut #ogfish #wafters #popups

Nixe vlog Mike Looks like hard water. At least you're getting quality time on the bank. Loved the time-lapse 👌

Cheers mate. Yes it’s not an easy water. Going to take a while to learn it. But from what I’ve heard it’s worth the effort. The position of the swim was crying out for a sunrise Timelapse, didn’t turn out too bad

Top effort mate, you will land a monster sooner or later 💪. I suffer from anxiety too, I tend to avoid going to new fisheries or ones that are busy. But I'm trying to overcome it. Keep up the good work.

Cheers mate. Yes I was chatting with the wife about it this weekend and decided that the session was a success purely for the fact I actually went and stayed the 48 hours. I have bottled quite a few sessions purely through anxiety and never been there before. I think I’ve found it easier fishing club waters, esp with WAA, as there are only club members there. First session at grey mist was nerve wracking, but ok now.

Aup Mike, great video mate that’s the nature of fishing we all want to catch but sometimes we ain’t that lucky but next time you never know! and good on ya for getting out there and doing the 48hr! I suffer with anxiety and depression too and Fishing helps me with that so just being on the bank is nice. keep up the great work mate and look forward to your next Vlog. 👍

Cheers mate, that comment means a lot. Yeah once I’d got my stuff packed up and in the car I was ok. Even better when I first saw the lake and had barrowed my kit to my swim. I knew I had a good chance of blanking, but learned a lot. And after speaking to a couple of anglers it really wet my appetite for getting back on.

@@Mike_Halewood “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” - Thomas Edison. My mental health always makes me want to give up on everything I try to achieve or accomplish and i just got to keep saying to myself just try one more time! I got that bad in the past i was afraid to even see anyone let alone speak to people! I did a 24 hr session last night on my own which i haven't done in a long time! but again like i said that's why i enjoy fishing to just be outdoors on the bank and forget everything in a certain way and just relax and enjoy it. :) I will try Little and Big Sandi myself sometime but you get hard waters just never give up and keep trying!

@@CheshireCarpers I really like that saying, it’s rings so true. If I think about Sandiway the trip was a success, it’s the first 48 hour session I’ve done in my own. Makes it even better that it was somewhere completely new. I actually don’t mind hard waters, my last club lake wasn’t easy. It took me 6 months to catch my first fish, but went in to get 6 different 20s which is no mean feat. Hopefully see you on the bank sometime. I did record another video today on grey mist, so I’ll edit that for next week. My next overnighter will be a week Monday I think, not sure where yet.

Thanks mate, really appreciate you watching. I loved on little sandiway, and will definitely be fishing there quite a bit more this year. Grey Mist has been a challenge so far.

No, this was my first trip. I’d been told by someone I know that has fished it. He said there’s a gravel bar, I used my deeper to locate it.
