I only recently discovered your channel and subscribed after halfway through first video which I think was blackthorn or cherry lakes . Always found your videos entertaining and full of good advice and your thoughts about a certain product from experience . No annoying distasteful music seems such a shame for you to give up regardless of low subscribers. However you have a following of over 950 that do enjoy watching your well produced videos and insight to certain venues I've yet to fish best regards and hope you continue

Many thanks for you comments. It is very humbling to hear such positive thoughts. The reason for wanting to get over 1000 subscribers is that, from my research, once achieved KZbin give me more facilities to help grow the channel and keep in touch with subscribers. Unfortunately the viewing figures are not straight forward as 70% of views on this video are from non subscribers which means less than half the subscribers actually watch the videos. If I could turn this around it would help to get more views. More views means KZbin promote the channel more and so goes the circle of success. However if the views for this video continue to rise at the present rate things are looking brighter.

That’s definitely a shame like a few other people I only subscribed this year and really enjoy your videos. I like how you make your own things like back leads and cog leads among other things. Plus your very informative on your approach on a given venue. Such a shame your on 970 subscribers now I hope you get the views you deserve and keep your channel going. Many thanks for the comment. I'd just keep the baiting light. The left rod was just over 4 wraps 6 feet. The middle rod to the side of the island was 6 wraps 1 foot. And the right rod to the far bank lollies was 8 wraps. Historically most of my fish from the water have come from the middle rod area. Enjoy and good luck 👊🏻

Christ man, you are short 37 subscribers from your magic 1000. What about the 963 of us who do exist. Sod the 37 they are of little importance as they don't exist, YET! It's not the 37 who define the quality of your cinematography or the calm eloquent way you do your pieces to camera, which is very refreshing in a maelstrom of fishing blogs obsessed with product and fashions, but the fact that 973 people do subscribe (surely that's more people who watch "prancing on ice" and I bet that shite get's another season). I do get the point about the views, there is something not right there maybe you need to chat to some savvy youth to get some advice on how to improve that. If you need to stop then stop, but don't feel disheartened by 30 flipping 7, you have produced years of excellent blogs, vid's, way above the quality of most that are out there with some stunning fish, wildlife and venues all making appearances. For all your excellent efforts I would like to say thank you, but my fingers will be crossed that you miss doing it so much you will return. Cheers.

Thanks for the comments Scott, you make an old man feel very humble. I take your point about the subscribers but once I reach 1000 as a producer KZbin afford me extra facilities to help promote the Channel which may be useful. Sadly, advertising can be put on any video now whether you want it or not and I don't. The real shame is the drop in viewing figures which does make me question my worth. If I can't get my subscribers to watch......... What you can't see is the analytics that tell me how poorly the videos are ranking of late. However, this video is ranked 'highly' at the moment and the 'shares' have quadrupled. I have no answers but I take encouragement from these figures and if they continue then I will recharge my camera batteries. Thanks Scott 👊🏻
