Hey great video. I am def learning a bunch about carp fishing. I'll be ready for ice off here in MB! Those alarms and bait runner reels with dual drag would be also very effective for catfish here in MB which is another bank fishing species popular here.

The thread pattern is 3/8 BSF (British Standard Fine) It's nice that it is universal accross all brands so pods, banksticks and bite alarms are all compatible. 👍

Yep. I find if I use fishy baits instead if corn or fruity flavours I tend to catch more catfish on the same setup. 👍

I have used a very basic manual version of this for catfish for a long time.i believe the design was also european.but looking to get a bit more advanced in how I make em.not going to feed giant tackle buisnesses.

The thread size on all alarms is 3/8 British Standard Fine. Same with rod pods and bank sticks. A nice aspect of carp gear so you can mix and match brands if you like and they’re still compatible. 👍

When I was younger I was into bass/pike fishing. Then I discovered carp angling. All about the big fish now! 🎣 I find carp more of a challenge as well.
