I was having a lot of trouble with crack offs, videos advising only one rod length and a few turns on the reel. Finding Tom's video and switching to 3 rod lengths has changed everything, and i actually enjoy spombing now. Cheers Tom!

Tom is a master at this style of fishing in particular and it's taken years to be this good, you have to fish a lot to get anywhere near this fellas level. The best big hit carp angler in the country in my opinion.

I don't understand how the spomb and lead land in the same position. He seems to hit the clip with the lead with the rod vertical and not move the tip forward, but for the spomb he moves it forward. He's mentioned by moving it forward it allows the spomb to nose dive and 'always' open, but surely by allowing the tip to move forward it allows the spomb to fall a further 12ft further forward, meaning the bait and lead will be in different locations. Am I missing something?

Hope this don’t sound stupid but my set up is 3 13ft rods and a 12ft 6inch marker and spod rod and wondering when casting to the spot would the spod be falling short of the spot? All rods are rapped up on the distance sticks 12ft apart
@jhutch27393 жыл бұрын
No mate you are fine , as everything’s wrapped up to the same distance

What about taking in account the swingback of the lead and adjusting your wraps on the spod rod?

hi guys, is it best to get your rods out first in the area and then spomb over the top? I'm fairly new so any advice is good thanks.
@horrorfreaklondon30373 жыл бұрын
Whichever best way if new is to find the spot you wanna fish with a marker rod then cast your rods to the marker then reel float down to lead and swap for a spomb then your bang on just fix a spot on far bank for accuracy in your mind. Hope that helps it's actually simpler than it sounds. Good luck

How do you avoid the possible issue of your lines crossing over if your fishing on such a tight spot and your rigs landing crossed over with another?
@jhutch27393 жыл бұрын
Keep your rod tips close together then look at your line to see if they are going out straight next to each other if one rod is over the other just switch them around! Comes with practice of fishing so tight.. I used to always get pissed of with it but once I started fishing tight all the time it became easy , practice makes perfect if your struggling just fish 2 rods tight on a spot and place your 3rd on another spot

FOX: You may wish to review how you do the thumbnail for your videos. Whenever you've watched a KZbin video on a desktop it puts a red line across the bottom of the video (so the user can tell which videos they have already watched) ...you've now started to put an orange line across the bottom of your video thumbnails which is easility mistaken for the red line indicating the video has already been viewed. Viewers may not watch your videos if they mistakenly assume they've already seen it.

So according to this guy you need a rod just to chum, not even to catch a fish. That's hilarious 😂😂😆😂
