Man your videos have been getting me pumped! So much so that I took my lunch break today to fish for Carp at a pond 10 min from my office. Ended up catching my largest carp ever! Probably a 20lb fish!

Congrats. That is one awesome aspect of Carp Fly Fishing I love going to cool destination to fish for them, but we don’t have too. We can hit the pond nearby. Thanks for watching and I’m glad the videos are getting you pumped. Tight Lines!

That release at 2:43...love how she shoots out of the water like a torpedo
@carponthefly8282 Жыл бұрын
Sometimes I think the only reason we even actually land them is because they are bored. Obviously she still had a ton of spit and vinegar when she hit the net. Thanks.

Excellent! Not sure how you get the drone's flight time to match up with your fishing and catching over and over again but I love it!

Thanks Sean, it is definitely not easy. I was out this weekend with the best trout fisherman I know he was skunked. I have had him out maybe 5 times with me. He brings his own SUP and he still hasn’t even hooked one. Great guy and I love fishing with him but carp are a tough fish to connect with.

Thanks Matthew. And yes they can. I use a Bite Rackham Aero. I actually did a video last year on my setup if you are interested in the details. My SUP Setup (Stand Up Paddleboard) - Carp Fly Fishing kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYnRfoGrmbiKsKM

Any tips for post spawn as we get further into summer?
@carponthefly8282 Жыл бұрын
Post spawn is usually still really good fishing, the carp can be harder to find, and a little more spooky. It really just comes down to finding them, and hopefully in spots you can actually fish.

How do you find good water to fish for carp. I want to catch one but not sure where I should go.
@carponthefly8282 Жыл бұрын
I spend a lot of time on google earth. Seriously. I have a some really cool areas that I have found scouting on google earth. I also have found quite a few that were duds. So there isn’t a sure fire method. But what we are looking for is water knee deep or less. A lot of times we can get a pretty good idea about that from google earth. I was in North Dakota last year for business and I google earthed the area and found a great spot to fly fish for carp. I ended up catching about 10 carp, 3 Buffalo fish and a handful of catfish on water I had only ever viewed on google earth. And I didn’t see another human out there. I think there are a lot of untapped places out there. But because they are untapped, we have to go find them. But that, to me, is part of the fun.

Like dreadnought for dread nothing. Nought is nothing. Why Yanks remove letters from words and pronounce them incorrectly is a mystery. Lke Maths is short for MathematicS and the s on the end is important as Maths requires two numbers.
