Carp rigs through the modern years. Have we evolved?

With the lakes up and down the country frozen solid, we couldn’t join Dan on the bank as planned and instead joined him in his man cave to reminisce about some of the carp on his wall that span well over 30 years of carp fishing!
Here he discusses the rigs and methods used in his early days right up to the present and he looks into where rig development has evolved through the decades.

Where do you get your square bottle leads that taper forward Dan? Liking those mate! 🍐

They are from Gardner Tackle, who are not known for their leads, but they do some really nice ones.

Yeah as you say not known for leads but I can remember in the 80's 90's Gardner done them leads painted black with the swivels in the leads, still some of the best I used and still have a few balls in 5oz around. I will take a look ta!... Great vid by the way, interesting the progression, you should have seen what we were using in the 1970's just before the revolution, shocking lol... Keep on keeping on
