Me, too! Her voice was so rich and pitch-perfect. I don’t think there will ever be another comparable to Karen Carpenter.

Karen's story is inspiring and heartbreaking. Her voice was so beautiful and touching, you can't help being touched, and feel "close to her." 🙏 God Love Her. I pray she's in Jesus' arms.

Whitney Houston's interpretation of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You just achieved diamond status. It is the singer who makes us buy/stream a song. W/out Karen's voice there may never have been a Carpenters sound

ive always thought both were the greatest singers that ever lived, and so different. I suffer from anorexia and its still hard to treat now, back in the 70s there was nothing they could do. karens sttory helps me keep fighting.

But Richard built the sounds. It’s like a microphone and speaker - you need both to make the product.

I've listened and loved the Carpenters since the first time I heard them in the early early 70s - still love them to this day, and always appreciated both of them greatly :)

What a beautiful velvet voice. When she sings low ,that sound comes out. How did she do that. She was so young and that sound was already there.

A beautiful, soft & calm angel voice of Karen is perfectly fitted with the music/lyrics of her multiple talents, genius brother- Richard Carpenter. With the voice of Karen, and Richard took care of the music parts, and the rest. The world have got to know the wonderful ‘The Carpenters’. If Richard is the brain on The Carpenters, So as Karen is the heart. Both are talented on theirs part- One’s support each other, is one of the key of their successes. (my thought) I always enjoy ‘The Carpenters’ music. Thank you for posting. Much appreciated. Have a nice day🙂everyone.

What a great documentary & boy, this brings me back. Karen has the best voice ever, that sound just hits every emotion, makes you smile & gives you all the feels. Their sound just comforts you & I thank them for sacrificing everything & sharing their gifts with the rest of us. Karen was an Angel sent from God to touch us while alive & is an Angel sitting next to God continuing to touch our souls as she lives on in her music & her story & Richard’s raise awareness for mental health disorders.❤❤

They would have been perfect having their own television show performing with special musical guests weekly. She had a Classic Hollywood industry voice.

Karen had the best voice I've eve heard, but she loved to play the drums. Taking her off her preferred instrument was an unfortunate decision that pleased everyone but her. It was almost a crime. After all people could still hear that wonderful voice while she did what she loved. and she was no slouch at drums either. Everybody got cheated in the end. Thats show business.

3:36 - The Carpenters moved to California for a warmer climate than Connecticut and to explore Richard's music talent. Karen wasn't singing or playing drums then.
