I had to make one the same as part of my college course years ago , I still have it today I turned the upper part into drawers to store my old hand tools and planes the lid still looks after my quality hand saws , its a great design if I was to change something in the original design I would have a draw at the bottom instead of the pocket , your box is great well thought out nice one .

+1 for wood.. Tried lots of different plastic jobbies over the years, but hard to beat being able to design your own box, for your own kit. Stronger, and cost peanuts if you use offcuts, too. :-)
