Another excellent video Robin! I think what makes you such a good chippie is you treat first fix like joinery. I’ve always got stick at work for being too precise but I think it just shows how conscientious you are. Thanks Robin👍.

you should have carried the face marking on the wall plates down the sides which would have made lining up the rafters to the plate easier and in fact if you had of marked the plate all round it would have been easier still as no trying to squint under the plates to get it to line up

The milwaukee gun is heavy but it's great. You have, relatively speaking a fair amount of subs on your channel but I am amazed that you don't have much more because any joiner worth their salt would want to be learning every aspect of what you are demonstrating. I have been a joiner for 30+ years myself and there are things that just come automatic and when I watch you it's satisfying that you instinctively do all the things as I am thinking them. It's like watching a much better version of myself.😂 Even your handling of tools is trained and professional, it's not something that you can easily put into words, it's just a technique and tool handling that comes from years of experience. It's a pleasure to watch.

Hi Robin, I’ve watched you for many years now, your I think a year younger then me. You’re a very good carpenter, but you don’t need me telling you that. Now I’ve got a cut roof coming up, not done one or a few years, so can’t wait to get stuck in. Have a Dewalt nailer, think it’s type 1, had many problems with it, so I’m going to get a new Nailer. I saw you using a Milwaukee nailer and was thinking of getting that, I know it’s a bit heavy, but it looks reliable. Now I see you with a pasload nailer, I’ve had them and got fed up with the gas. So can you tell me why you still use a gas nailer. Thanks, keep going, by the way wish I wore ear protection back in the day! Paying for it, that’s for sure.

Yes, plain tiles the small format tiles require a minimum pitch of 35 degrees, larger format tiles like slate or pan tiles can go down to 12.5 degrees in some cases

How you finding the Hilti tools Robin ?
@ukconstruction3 ай бұрын
Really happy with the power, battery life and the quality, the circular saws are so powerful and accurate, the impact driver is light but delivers a real punch, the multitool is crisp and smooth, and the new chop saw is robust and again very accurate, I am slowly working through all the models, I really like the fleet management option, I feel that it's good for business as you pay one payment a month instead of shelling out large sums upfront
