@@LTWCarpentry it’s 4 weeks. Broken down to kitchen fitting, doors/lining/, jig and router use. I project manage renovations, but last two got involved in building stud walls, fitting units in. Think safe to say I’m better then s trade DIY, but as I find joy working woth wood (and love power tools), I think I’m better suited to do this than sit on laptop calculating timber lengths/boards etc and ordering. Ideally I’ll work under someone a year or so, but I’ll see how it goes 🤷🏻♂️

Apples - since starting my apprenticeship, I'm 23, can't remember if I've mentioned before, it's got me thinking about what I want to do once qualified; either self-employed or stay with a business, I like your approach to things and I'm leaning more and more towards the self-employed route, I like the variety of jobs and work that you seem to do, which would suit me to a T. keep up the good work Lewis and you'll smash 25k soon enough

Nice one Gavin, no you haven’t told me that before, Going self employed was the best thing I ever done, I didn’t do it out of choice though, I got made redundant in a recession and there wasn’t a lot of jobs about so I started picking up what I could and the rest is history, There’s pluses and minuses to both but im not great at being told what to do so this suits me 😂😂

Apples. £230 is a good days pay mate lots of people would appreciate that. Incidentally were they new door linings or old because it looked liked you trimmed the head of the door, and as you pre-assembled the architraves if the mitres were 45 degrees and the frames are out of square would they not break when nailed on if you kept even margins.
@LTWCarpentry Жыл бұрын
No mate they were old linings, not terrible but slightly out. And yes I pre assembled, when they are only a couple of mm out you can flex them enough to get them where you want them, if they were any worse I would have had to adjust the angles
