I just ordered a set of 3. I wouldn't call them butter smooth by any means but they seem to be built tough.

Great reels, quick line recovery……but………the amount of times the line gets caught round the back of the spool is so annoying. You have to check it every time. Never ever had a problem with my Daiwa Windcast reels. Very smooth on the retrieve, and cast great.

How is the drag when playing fish?

Croscast 35 or 45scw on 13ft 3.5lb rods?

I'd get the 45mm on a 13ft rod because if ypur using that size rod you are probably going to be fishing at range and the 45 will help massive amount

Good review Joe But I wouldn’t buy another daiwa reel after buying three new windcasts 2 years ago a part went wrong on one reel i rang up daiwa after a part and the one part was nearly as much as one reel which is ridiculous might aswell have bought cheaper reels like wynchwood or sonik and had no hassle and fair prices on parts

How would the pair on a set of scopes 3.5tc gents? Currently use fx9 and I don’t like the feel of them

I have the daiwa crosscast carp 5000qd on a 3.5 amd im loving it. The specs are exactly the same as the emblem. Reel feels a bit heavy at first but when added to the rod its quite balanced and i have no complaints at all

the specs are close but not bang on the same and i own a crosscast.. my mate had the emblems their much smoother in my opinion and my crosscasts are smooth 🤷🏻‍♂️
